Really good. Recent breakup I take it? Once a lover now a friend-not always an easy thing to do.

She is pleasing to the eye
She is soft to the touch
She is beautiful within
She is deep and true inside
She has a heart that is pure and good
She shines so brightly
She has blinded you

A chest of treasure?
A key of gold?
What are these pleasures
Being told?

A noble Knight
A galloping steed
Riding in flight
At high speed

The key to find
He has to look
And use his mind
Maybe mistook

The key of gold
Could really be silver
And the chest of wood
Might give a sliver

For him she wishes happiness
Nothing more and nothing less
If what he wants is somewhere else
And that is his true quest
She might shed a tear of sadness
But knows she did her best
Hoping there is someone else
Who can pass her test
For happiness she hopes to find
To not feel like a guest
To feel at home anytime
Not like the office or her desk
Her only nature to be kind
Perhaps one day she’ll see
The gifts of joy won’t rewind
Payed forward they will be

Sadness Sets In

Too much, I said
What has been in my head
A fool is me
To think it could be
The way I'd like
It's playing with my psych
I fear a mistake
Has done some heartache
I should have waited
Like my heart mitigated
Instead encouraged
By those who discouraged
Keeping it in
For it wasn't within
My comfort zone
To let it be known
What I feel in my heart
It's grown from a start
That was small
And now my back's to the wall
But back I can't go
So I hang my head low
Waiting for a reply
From a really great guy
I know what it'll be
So I'll go on being me
This is the way
I will end this hard day

Christopher, I really liked that last one. The one about Rachel and Leah, loved it also. I read about their story (sort of) in the novel The Red Tent......very good book, but sort of more for women. lol

I love this thread's so full of good stuff.

Hey you! Welcome back!

I put this with my stuff but wasn't sure if you would see it. I hope it's ok to post it here for you. The original title of your thread helped me come up with it.

What therapy this is for me
The feelings that come
When these words I read
And thoughts that are born
When these words I write down
All filter through
The tears I cry

The release of it all
Strength to put them out
Courage to show them
For anyone to enjoy
Or for anyone to destroy
The meaning in them
We have in ourselves

BTW - Happy day!

that night her kiss told me it was over,
i walked out late into the dark,
the misty gloom seemed to soak up my sorrows,
the further i went on, i felt a spreading calm,
then suddenly my eyes were bathed in light,
and the lovely lady in white was by my side,
she said "like me, i see your walking alone,
wont you please stay? i couldnt look away.
theres so much i can show and give to you
if you would welcome me tonight, because
I love the night, the day is ok and the sun can be fun,
but i live to see those rays slip away,
if only you had been there my dear.
No mortal was meant to know such wonder
one look in the mirror told me so,
but come darkness ill see her again,
yes im gonna go, because now i know,
and our last goodbye will last forever.

Come here girl close to me,
a thousand stars your eyes will see,
first one we see tonight
i wish i may, i wish i might.
I turned my hopes up to the sky
Id like to know before i die,
memories will slowly fade
i lift my eyes and say
come on take me away.

Trish, your poems are talking to me again. I think I know something I am not supposed to know, my mind wanders, maybe too much LOL...but if I am right....then I am so very happy for you, and for me as well....because if what you have is what I think it is, I might one day have it also. Make sense? LOL

For to know
It's not always clear
Sometimes takes a jolt
When we are blinded by fear

When is the right time
We sometimes don't see
If we clear our minds
Maybe we can believe

Expect nothing
We aren't disappointed
Expect too much
We get disjointed

Live in the now
Forget about tomorrow
Drop off the blinders
Perhaps skip the sorrow

Of missing the one
The reason for fishing
You don't have to keep
POF wishing
