Awesome poetry in here i love reading it.

Its safe to say i am lonely now
(Just like i have always been)
A place called home
(Is just a memory away)
I know i have done this all before
(Just like a broken record)
A thousand silent voices
(Yet all i hear is screaming)
Begging me to stay
(But wanting me far away)
Apologies all left unsaid
(Secrets better left unspoken)
Dreams are slowly put to bed
(Rumors stirred and reawoken)
If i try to get away
How long until i am free
And if i dont come back here
Will you remember me?
Its safe to say i am nothing now
(Maybe i always was)
Its all so quiet but i cant forget the sound
(A thousand voices)
Pull me back down to the ground
(Bury me alive)
I turn away from what you are
(Or what you wanted to be)
Denying all that you have given
(I find a place thats safe and far)
In time all will be forgiven
(Maybe even forgotten)
If I try to get away
How long until i am free
And if i dont come back here
Will you remember me?

A shiver of something quick
goes through us now and then,
as if
the misaligned heart

were about to fracture under bone
or, far off in outer space,
a silent planet thinned itself
against the dark, unknown.

If you were a book..... you would be the most beautiful words i ever read and in it would be every word you ever said. From everything i liked and hated from all the times we miscommunicated and as the pages started to tear i would pretend not to care. Every word i ever read would stay in the corners of my head and when your love is gone, i will still read and try to find where it went wrong. So many words and so many phrases i'll even cherish the things i hated. Your story will be epic and i'll never forget it. All of the love we shared, will be written in there, the memories will be recorded in the pages of the past. When i close it for good i'll wonder why this wasnt meant to last.

The days rush in
With such anticipation
Of the inevitable, the unknown
Somehow before the miles swallow you
In quiet separation, we say our goodbyes
Surrender to the tears invading our bodies
The memories dance in time
Only souls cinema now
Emotions travel through an embrace
Orbiting through this bloody mess
Around the dance of our hearts
These vessels, they part
A flash of pain and flick of the wrist
And in the rustling of the trees
Like static through a tired radio
Beneath it all
I miss you
Over and over...

These walls were built for comfort
These walls were built from fear
These walls were built slowly, over many years
These walls were built to keep me from ever hurting again
You came into my life, not bothered by these walls
These walls that contained the passion and love within my soul
You looked into my eyes, the windows of my soul
You climbed through the windows, and captivated my soul
All the love and the passion, to you, I gave it all
Then you turned and walked away
Leaving me cold and lonely again
Now I ask myself, why, why I ever let you in
For the walls that have now crumbled
I must rebuild again

Thanks....that was cool to see some feedback....
I have another one for you, of a much happier

To be the breeze
That gently brushes your face

The kiss that lingers
Leaving the sweetest trace

To feel your heart beating
Together with mine

To be in your dreams
As darkness falls

The first words from your lips
When daylight calls

To fuel the passion
The flame, the fire

To be the one you crave
Your one and only desire

It’s bed-time in Ontario!
And OM has put in his time.
So back to bed

Like a swarm of ambitious bees
like an irritating breeze,
like a badly over-ripe cheese,
once you get on to that “eeze”
end-rhyme, you gotta pay your fees.
You can try to brush away those fleas
as you feel your brain-pan freeze,
you can call on your Lord but he's
too busy handling the keys
for some newly-arrived draftees.
Heck, he’s practically on his knees
looking for better ways to please
his audience, here or overseas.
No, you’re stick with it like sleeze
on the sole of your shoe. Squeeze
as hard as you can, sneeze
or wheeze or tease, these
are English rhymes, not Cantonese!

Everyone wants to be a guru
and why not?

Because a guru could offer you snot
and you would think it was cheese.

And not just any old cheese
but Bel Paese!

The Palace Walls
Posted: 9/15/2006 2:34:15 AM
Every stone in the wall of the palace
represents the death in life
of at least one peasant.

Who was he to the prince
who watched the wall go up in his,
the Prince’s, honour?

Nothing. Less than a stone.
The journey to enlightenment is slow.
A death’s-head high

above the palace walls
grins down on all that passes
and will forever pass below.

Seems to me this is one of the most relaxedly flowing, lyrical of all your poems I've seen thus far. I don't know if it came out as spontaneously as it feels to read it.
This is one I think you ought to commit to memory and try saying it aloud - for your own pleasure and that of anyone you'd like share it with...

I've always found that there are two very different sorts of experience in writing poems (or fiction for that matter): the love at first sight stage when an idea occurs to you: an image, a phrase, a rhythm, and you more or less plunge ahead with it...
And the rewriting/editing stage, which is the post-honeymoon, when experience and conscious intelligence come into play, and you look at your lover a bit more detachedly - even coldly, at times..

Ladypagey: I'm a type 2 diabetic. Any chance you'd make that cake with cyber-Splenda?

There they are, under the pillows
again, enjoying their furtive,
late-night conversations. It's no use
telling them insanity is rude.
It's what they want to hear.

Charming suicides, they know nothing
about Mozart's worried sweetness.
All they want is to find
an applecart to turn over.
Any old applecart. Love. Or happiness.

Into the misted raw corners
of our basement selves, like bargainers
grovelling for one last hour
at the sale, we go hollow-eyed
for truth. Truth, truth is the teat
we want to suck at. No other milk
will do. Or if not milk,
pop. And if the teat is too hard to reach,
a straw.

Our necks are half-dislocated
from trying to get at the pop
an extra second before it comes up that straw.

To all of you who grieve and feel the pain
of lost love, love that was taken by the grave
of earth or of the brain’s decay...

You want to see them again
and from the ruins of today, to save
what you can of yesterday.

But all that is left to us, when our hearts are sore
is to love the living more and more.
