Green eyes cut like diamond knives
To the heart of my very soul
As if you could see through me
And see what I dont know

My spirit laid bare,examined
Each secret brought to light
You've seen each hidden part of me
I've hidden from my sight.

What pieces did you find there?
What future will unfold?
I give to you my very soul
To have and gently hold

But all I saw was Jesus
a middle-aged lonely carpenter

Man, that’s GOLD!

You might get a charge out of "The Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov in which there are scenes in which you will feel as if you're walking beside the human Jesus and can see the sand on his sandals.

Love what you've done with the place, sir.

What would a seasoned goat do
If presented with the Power of Om?
He would make sure to bring beer
Not a lot
But enough
The day would be mosquito-free
While squirrels hump in the night
The beer will be sipped
Words will be chosen for place and texture
Time will be well spent

Very good place here. You'd almost think a ley line runs through here.

Take care, eh?

I just caught a glimpse of the beautiful part of your mind, and feel privileged to have done so. You know how some poets sort of have to clear their throats before they begin writing, or to announce to you in some way that what you are about to hear is important or deep or heartfelt, and some - as you do here - just open their mouths and let their hearts out!

Dear SweetCheeksSD, I detect sorrow and gref in your rhyme
You're in a rut and so am i, bound together in similarities only by time
You hunger for life, I fight to live, together we survive our poems we give
Your inner sorrows you carry from day to day, my horrow is when a bullet puts me away

This is not what you deserve cos everyone is worth something
I too would like to walk a long curve one thats never ending
We all need something more and none of us wants to wait
Come karma, destiny and faith i hope its never too late

Both you and me, we want to leave for neither wants to stay
You're trapped in your sorrow, and me in my burrough
God please come take us away
Dear SweetCheeksSD of St. John I hope one day soon your trobles are gone.

WoW!! I like that a lot. Thank you very much! You've made me smile.

My Missing Parts

Why were they taken,
Way before their time?
You must have be mistaken,
Maybe the wrong place or time?

Their love I do still feel,
Even though you've stolen them,
Is there a time I'll fully heal?
My mind races with memories of them.

Their hearts were huge,
Their smiles so bright,
I've lost my refuge,
I hope what you've done is right.

Never whole will my heart ever be,
Thanks to what you've done,
Can't you see,
You've done've won.

Right here and now,
I break out a cry,
Wondering how,
I can allow myself to cry.

Where's my strength,
I want it back,
I'll go to any length,
For my strength I cannot lack.

Tell them I love them,
I miss them too,
I'll always think of them,
Keep them safe while they're with you.

Lost In My Confusion

What's wrong with me?
Was I wrong?
Why can't I see?
Why after soo long?

Full of confusion,
Full of the mix of love and hate,
All arises from a few word from my son,
Too little..too late?

Am I just too pig headed?
Or still me being strong?
Where's my life headed?
Where is it I've gone wrong?

My mind, it wonders,
I can't make it stop,
Right this moment my mind wonders,
Have my emotions gone over the top?

What's wrong with me?
Was I wrong?
Why can't I see?
Why after soo long?

Break the bonds that bind you!
Be the sculptor facing a block
of marble within which he can see
the form that is waiting to be released.
He picks up his hammer and chisel
–tools that in other hands
have killed–and hacks away
the first piece that hides the beauty within.
Break the bonds that bind you!
Bones that are strong and unbending
are brittle, too. Remember that
you are also sinew and thews,
ligaments, veins carrying
live-giving blood, and flesh:
flesh that is pliable and longs
to give and receive love...

Diva! Does the world need
another poet like me?
Does it even need me?

Be the poet you are,
be your own guiding star!

The light that you seek
is there within you,

maybe weak
at the moment, as if deep in a mine,

waiting for you to let it shine!

Patience is a virtue
Virtue is grace
Grace is gentle

just guided by god angels to save the children from the devil

Don't prove this poem right

C'mon, Ray - you can't bully people into liking you, loving you or being your friend... Sounds like you've been hurt, rejected or feel betrayed. The only way you're going to get over it is by realizing that she didn't do it with the intention of hurting you. She has her own emotional agenda, as you have yours, and you didn't fit in with it. Now is the time to prove - to yourself at least - that you truly loved her: by forgiving her and wishing for her future happiness...

Greets to you, om .......some impresive stuff, falling from your pen!!! Keep the flow, my friend...

A brief wind....

Snow descends on a spring day
Branches lay bare
Dry and withered from winter fear
Exposed to the seasons
Leaves fall like tears

Shall we give thanks to the stillness, the dark, the light, the chaos

Okay, thanks for the stillness &c.

Shall we let ourselves be absorbed into the great unknown

No effing way! I’m staying right here.

Is yet, another Sunday, where everything lives, and dies

Jeez, I hope that doesn’t apply to my honey-mustard riblets!

Let the next bowl movements begin...

You didn’t mean “bowel” movements by any chance?

My Smile

My smile you'll see,
It slowly grows,
To you from me,
You'll smile as it glows.

Even when life gets crappy,
You will usually see,
I look oh soo happy,
Sending smiles to you from me.

To some it's only a smile,
Nothing more,
If you share it for a while,
Others will see it as soo much more.

I give a smile,
To everyone I see,
Then a smile,
They'll give to me.

Save your soul and leave untrapped.

No I don't know Bullet in the Brain but might try to google it, but the poem it inspired, the dying professor... One of your best! I love it! Thanks.

Edit: Google brings up a short story by Tobias Wolff... Odd coincidence as I'm just reading a novel by him...

This is me

You like it,
Or you don't,
Fight it,
I won't.

It took too long,
To find me,
This is where I belong,
I hope you see.

I no longer frown,
With all my worries,
I've turned my life upside down,
I share all my stories.

You stole me away,
But never again,
Will I go away,
Within myself I have a friend.

It took a while,
But I'm back again,
My everyday I'll smile,
Even when I still need time to mend.

From you I've learned,
I'm soo much more,
Bad bridges I've bruned,
As I rebuild more.

You like it,
Or don't,
Fight it,
I won't.

Thank you very much! Funny enough...I tend to have an easier time to write my poetry when feeling mad or emotional. To just sit and do it seems to be a chore. LoL

It feeds my thoughts,
Of happy and sad,
I listen to it lots,
Even when I'm mad.

It takes me away,
From this place called Earth,
The things they say,
Is like the idea of birth.

Every song has something different,
To feed the soul,
From the old to the most recent,
They all have their tole.

Without music in my life,
It would be bland,
I love the rythem in my life,
And how it's spreads throughout the land.

Go where I've gone,
See what I've seen,
Feeling as the only one,
Who's been where you've been.

Feel what I've felt,
Horrors and sadness,
Oh these cards I've been delt,
Drives me to madness.

The smiles I've endured,
And laughs I've shared,
The places I've explored,
And those whom I've cared.

I'm not your average chick,
Sometimes crazy I can be,
I may bleed with just one prick,
These are the things that make me ME.

Through happy and sad,
Even when you're mad.

Through thick and thin,
They have their hands in.

They listen when need be,
And sometimes help you see.

They sometimes make you angry,
Til you say let me be.

They can make you laugh,
Til you shed a tear and a half.

They're silly and fun,
They make you feel like number one.

From beginning til end,
They'll be your friend.
