Tried it once about 10 years ago...not a pretty picture! I freaked!
I keep my hair too short, so I would be touching up every 2 weeks or so. Im just not that concerned about it... Thanks Mom!

Doubt if I'll ever color my gray...I get too many compliments on it. Women seem to like my salt & pepper, so as far as I'm concerned...that's a good thing.

I don't mind grey hair. I also don't mind no hair. Not a big deal for me.

As a Hairstylist, Don...there are different types of color out there that do not cause the so called racing stripe you are referring to (roots).

Semi-permanent hair colors do not stay permanent but fade out with washings, about 4-6 wks...there are also rinses that just stain the hair temporarily.

But...for me, I don't think there is anything more distinguishing or sexy than Grey hair on a Man...now Grey hair on most Women is another thing!

yes r, but you are cute with gray hair. some men are not!!! same for us women.

ps they do this thing for men that gives it a salt and pepper appearance and looks natural. some people are paler than others and need some "color". i find it odd, that the same is not marketed to women! hey, whatever rocks your boat, no right or wrong answer!

That salt & pepper look is smoking hot.
Men are lucky they look so handsome as they get older. The lines and creases enhance their maleness and desirability. (To some of us any way) The years can be so much kinder to them.

* angrily kicks Mother Nature in the ass*
B*tch.

...I wholeheartly agree...salt & pepper or grey hair, undeniably sexy. Mother Nature indeed is not always fair

well, men are a lot more secretive, but many are getting botoxed around here as well. the macho guys, not the city slickers either! see, half the time we think we are frowning at each other, when all we are doing is "aging".

well, i'm with you mandrake, i'm gonna grow in my mustache and cover my frown-- a lot cheaper! geeze, what we all will or won't do, to find the "one". but, of course, nobody is really looking. i know, keep hearing it all over the place from a whole lot of people. i just don't "believe" it!

Men with cropped very short grey salt and pepper hair are extremely sexy. Long grey hair.....just isn't the same, and makes a man look ancient and left far behind somewhere... I kinda like bald too....

Dyed hair on men is a definite No!!!

I let my sister dye it once, it came out black with purple overtones, my coworkers had fun with me that day, and almost burned my dome off getting it fixed. I got tired of dying it, plus someone said it looked good, like R.Gere so I just let it go.....

NO, a man who can be confidently gray or bald is very sexy to me. I want a man to be a man, no comb-overs, hair coloring, jewelry, heavy cologne, just be a man!

I've had grey since my 30's never bothered me, at least most of it is still there

And you look marvelous....
I don't care if men have hair, color their hair, have all grey hair....
What I care isn't about a man's hair on their head.....

Personally,I like grey hair on men.It shows me they're confident in themselves enough to "be" themselves. Also,it tells me at a glance that they are probably nearer my own age. I like the "mature" look.

^^^^ Wow, talk about lacking a connection to reality!

These days people can expect to spend about as long with gray hair as without it in the course of an average lifetime. Men are not going to suddenly be unattractive for half of their lives.

You know, I don't think there is anyone on these forums with quite the lack of understanding of life that you display. Your opinions about people are your own, and as far as I can see do not reflect any reality I have ever known. You know neither what women find attractive, nor what men find attractive. You appear to be fixated on everything negative about people.

There are 18 year old women who find 70 year old men unbelievably attractive, just as there are 18 year old men who find 70 year old women attractive, and everything in between. You particular preferences are yours alone, and if it works for you, great.

Personally, I doubt that there is a single person on the planet that is unaware of their own age or the general effects of age on the human body. It is also true that you can have exactly what you want in a sexual partner. It only depends on what you are willing to accept.

FluffyBrain - I agree that when a person's face has aged dramatically but they color their hair using the same harsh color that would look good normally on a younger person, they are not fooling anyone.

However, don't discount an older man.
Yes - there are plenty out there ridiculously chasing after the young chickies who have nothing in common with them and see them just as old coots trying to get some fresh tail. Don't think young hot women won't use it to their advantage if the guy has money.
There are other young women that will be squicked by the whole idea of being with someone that reminds them of their dad.
There are also women who grow up without a father, and the "older man" represents a male authority figure to them. Sometimes they can live their entire lives seeking that attention - the older man they admire and look up to. Of course if he is emotionally still a child himself he fails miserably.
