Notice: Forums will be shutdown by June 2019

To focus on better serving our members, we've decided to shut down the POF forums.

While regular posting is now disabled, you can continue to view all threads until the end of June 2019. Event Hosts can still create and promote events while we work on a new and improved event creation service for you.

Thank you!

Plentyoffish dating forums are a place to meet singles and get dating advice or share dating experiences etc. Hopefully you will all have fun meeting singles and try out this online dating thing... Remember that we are the largest free online dating service, so you will never have to pay a dime to meet your soulmate.

Ladies... Some advice, if you would.Page 2 of 2    (1, 2)
make another date right there! ask if they would be interested, if so, go ahead and make plans for a few days from then, or the next weekend, whatever.

if someone is interested, there's no use in playing any games!

Sometimes dating is like sales...

So, you've made the initial meeting and you have decided you would like to meet again. Ask. Right then. If she says yes, then set a tentative date and time and make a plan of what you might like to do! Close the deal! You'll both know that you are serious about a second date that way. Plan to confirm the date by phone or IM or e-mail. If either gets cold feet or if schedules truly do change so as not to allow a meeting, contact can still be made and plans either reset or not, depending on the circumstances.

Just like in sales, you have to ASK for what you want (and this goes for ladies, too!).

As for non-verbal communication, not all handshakes are cold, especially if you clasp the outside of her hand with your other hand to convey warmth and gentleness while looking into her eyes telling her that you really enjoyed your time together (in whatever words you wish to use for that purpose).

Good luck!
