"You're a Big Girl Now" - Bob Dylan. It's seen me through break-ups for 30 years:

Our conversation was short and sweet,
It nearly swept me off of my feet.
And I'm back in the rain,
Oh, and you are on dry land.
You made it there somehow,
You're a big girl now.

Bird on the horizon
Sittin' on a fence.
He's singing a song for me
At his own expense.
And I'm just like that bird,
Oh, singing just for you
I hope that you can hear,
Hear me singing through these tears.

Time is a jet plane,
It moves too fast.
Oh, but what a shame
That all we've shared can't last.
I can change I swear
Oh, see what you can do,
I can make it through,
You can make it too.

Love is so simple,
To coin a phrase
You've known it all at times,
I'm learning it these days.
Oh, I know that I can find you in somebody's room
It's a price I have to pay
You're a big girl all the way.

A change in the weather
Is known to be extreme,
But what's the sense of changing horses in mid-stream?
I'm going out of my mind,
Oh, with a pain that stops and starts
Like a corkscrew to my heart
Ever since we've been apart.

I've Got Dreams, Dreams to Remember" By Otis Redding

By far one of his best, I treid to find a link on you tube, but all versions were covers. Try to listen to the Otis Redding original if possible. It is also on the sound track "Dream A little Dream"

Tool: Parabol and Parabola

So familiar and overwhelmingly warm
This one, this form I hold now.
Embracing you, this reality here,
This one, this form I hold now, so
Wide eyed and hopeful.
Wide eyed and hopefully wild.

We barely remember what came before this precious moment,
Choosing to be here right now. Hold on, stay inside...
This body holding me, reminding me that I am not alone in
This body makes me feel eternal. All this pain is an illusion.

We barely remember who or what came before this precious moment,
We are choosing to be here right now. Hold on, stay inside
This holy reality, this holy experience.
Choosing to be here in

This body. This body holding me. Be my reminder here that I am not alone in
This body, this body holding me, feeling eternal
All this pain is an illusion.

Alive, I

In this holy reality, in this holy experience. Choosing to be here in

This body. This body holding me. Be my reminder here that I am not alone in
This body, this body holding me, feeling eternal
All this pain is an illusion.

Twirling round with this familiar parabol.
Spinning, weaving round each new experience.
Recognize this as a holy gift and celebrate this chance to be alive and breathing.

This body holding me reminds me of my own mortality.
Embrace this moment. Remember. we are eternal.
All this pain is an illusion.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet, but when I'm down, I usually play some George Clinton and P. Funk because...

well...

sometimes it takes the funk...

to get you out of a funk.

Ya dig?

I recommend "Dr. Funkenstein," "The Mothership Connection," or "Count Funkula."

It doesn't really have much to do with love, but it's the groove that heals.

Of course, if you wanted something a little more on topic, I'd also recommend "It takes a fool" by The Spinners.

This one always made me feel good

The Bartender Song by Rehab

Bartender I really did it this time
Broke my parole to have a good time
When I got home it was 6 AM
The door was locked so I kicked it in

She was trippin on the bills
I think she was high on some pills
She threw my shit out into the yard
Then she called me a bum and slapped me real hard

And in my drunken stuper
I did what I should have never done
And now I'm sittin here, talking to you
Drunk and on the run

I'm sittin at a bar on the inside
Waitin for my ride on the outside
She broke my heart, in the trailer park
So I jacked the keys to her fcukin car
Crashed that piece of shit and then stepped away

Ya know Moe I'll probably get ten years
So just give me beers till they get here
Yea I know the sun is comin up
And yall are probably get ready for closein up
But I'm trying to dry my sole
I'm tired of this life on the dirt road
Everything that I love is gone
And I'm tired of hangin on

I'm sittin at a bar on the inside
Waitin for my ride on the outside
She stole my heart, in the trailer park
So I jacked the keys to her fcukin car
And crashed that piece of shit and then stepped away

[Rap:]
Yes it was meant to be
Romance is misery
So much for memories
And now I am headed to the penitentiary
See me on TV
The next cop series
I am a danger
I guess I should have did something about my anger
But I never learn
Real things I don't concern
I pour kerosene on everything I love
And watch it burn
I know it's my fault
But I wasn't happy it was over
She threw a fit
So I crashed that piece of shit Nova

[Song:]
And now I am going back again
Back to the pen to see my friends
When we all file off that county van
They're gonna ask me where I've been

I've been at a bar on the inside
Waitin for my ride on the outside
She broke my heart, in the trailer park
So I jacked the keys to her fcukin car
I Crashed that piece of shit and then stepped away

For mourning and pain if you really want something that will make you cry listen to Vacccine by Paper Mache. They are an underground indie/folk band from spokane, washington. Awesome band and awesome guys in it.

For strength i would probably have to say Rewind by Deas Vail. Another indie band but from Arkansas and a little bigger than paper mache. They have some songs that will make you cry as well. And paper mache has some pick you up songs too.

Should be able to find both these on i-tunes if not i know they are on myspace. Check 'em out.

1. The Reason, Hoobastank.
My last girlfriend about 2yrs ago made me realize I needed to change. I realized I had to deal with the anger that culmulated throughout the years that dated back from knowing my two face aunt and uncle. There were certain things that triggered my anger, especially when people are in my face yelling at me by trying to make me feel small. And even trying to control on how I feel and that my feelings didn't matter; and even my opinions did not matter. I learnt no matter how much I tried to get my aunt to admit to her wrong doing she never will and pretended it never happened. I thought she would change but no. She will always hide behind the bible pretending she is a saint and use guilt on me. Still to this day behind my back she compares me to my mentally ill mom I thought awhile back she has stopped that but no. And that I will become like her. Even a few months ago I told her where to go she now labeled me as mentally ill as my mom. So without my aunt in my life and in my mind I have been feeling alot better (except now since I wrote about her)

2. Puddle of Mudd- She fackin Hates Me
this goes out to my ex gf of two years ago who loved me but for some reason runs away but since this summer I think she really hates me. But a part of me thinks she doesn't hate me, weird to think that I guess but oh well.
