The notebook is a great movie... made this pig cry and for about 2 hours I believed in LOVE...

Then I watched City of God to add a different perspective.

I find the Juxtaposition beautiful

I liked the Notebook, too.

Since all this snow has fallen, I take my dogs down to the beach and they run on this ribbon of sand between the sea and snow. They are hunting dogs and there are a lot of birds on the ocean and they gallop after flocks of birds. The strip of beach they run on is about 2 or 3 city blocks long and they look pretty amazing as they charge up and down it. Even though they are sprinting at great speeds, the dogs somehow remain in sync with me and are easy to round up at the end of their runs. I feel like I have somehow managed to grab onto the last piece of paradise in the city.

Watching a 3D ultrasound of my twin grandbabies due to be born on St. Paddy's Day. Amazing how you can see every little detail. Their gorgeous little smile and every movement they make. I can't wait to hold them.

I find my girl to be strikingly beautiful. I could gaze at her face for hours on end.

Obviously I think my children are beautiful, my little girl is amazing, and my son is handsome as hell....

I guess the Mailman was beautiful

The world is beautiful, same with our universe and everything in it, and how everything interacts with everything else.

Gazing at things you find beautiful builds bonds, especially when it is a mother or father gazing at an infant. I think we carry this behavior over to other things that we admire. I know I often gaze at my dogs and marvel at their perfection. To me they are unbelievable beautiful. However, someone else may see them as those power peeing machines.

There is no shortage of beauty in this world. There are so many wonderful things to see.

Certain movements...
A couple dancing in perfect unison.
The look in the face of a dancer when he is lost in the music.
A running dog.
A kitten playing with a toy.
A latin woman walking.
A latin man walking
The way a coconut tree sways in the breeze/wind.
Catching a frisbe in mid air.
Watching men fix stuff or move heavy things.
Watching a man play with his woman's long hair.
Watching well trained volleyball players do their thing.
The expression in a baby's face when they discover they can feed you too!

every day I find something beautiful that I had never experienced before....so there is no one thing that i find beautiful to the exclusion of other things....all classes of things, of events, of ocassions, and mostly that which changes meets my definition of the beautiful...this is joy and surprise

^Yes, you are right it's beautiful.

So, do you have a beautiful poem of your own to share with us? I know there is a poet somewhere within you or within one of your eggs. You should be a Rooster, they are so beautiful with all their coloured feathers.

ok shoot me now, I don't usually post like this ( off topic from such a beautiful thread) but X your last comment to McChicken reminded me of such a good laugh...
Anyone else know this song????

Has anyone seen my c0ck??
My big Rhode Island Red
He's mostly pink with a little bit of blue
And purple round his head
He stands right up in the morning
And he gives my wife a shock
Has anybody seen (has anybody seen)
Has anybody seen my c0ck??

Some feathers are beautiful.

My mom and dad brought home a souvenir from a trip; a tail feather from a peac0ck, which I thought was truly beautiful.

The iridescence colours in the feathers of the males of some humming birds is incredible.

Mother Nature has gifted us with much beauty. The challenge is for us to take the time to see it.

Possibilities are beautiful.

Clarity is beautiful

Sorrow can even be beautiful.

Beauty surrounds us, we just have to be open to seeing it. Even the ugliest things may hold a kernel of beauty waiting to blossom.

The written word holds infinite beauty.

I agree with the above: clarity is beauty because in clarity, or clarification, of which is meant also 'grace' things overly obscure and opaque, are rendered into the open for understanding: which involves feeling, and reason, no?

Secondly, sorrow, is also, and on many occasions a source of beauty, since when sorrow occasions, as an 'accompanying idea to an external cause brought by love, which is an act", also denotes that beauty is 'correspondence' of a possible 'sublime' depth or breath, no?

"Even the ugliest things may hold a kernel of beauty waiting...to blossom"

This really depends on being 'open', 'seeing' and of course, 'surrounds' or the 'environs' which suggests a developed sense of being within the social, environmental and cultural milieu of what surrounds.....

So someone gives you a large number of tomato plants in April, and you take them in exchange for practically nothing: but then in April you find a place to plant them, and succor some basil and perhaps garlic, or scallions, and commit to watering and feeding them, and in August there are some much...you have to find canning jars.
