Ok peeps, after some misunderstanding and miscommunication that is/was mostly on my part. I just wanted to mention that my match and did connect for reasons that were/are out of our control. Still hope to have coffee, but only time will tell.

After all is said and done, no harm no foul.

I and I look forward to the next round of the vote a date pond. Bring it on Peeps!

The participants of each round are matched by a panel.

The next round BEGINS August 24 and ends Sept 7 when the matches are announced. The rest of the rules are on page one.

my question to the pond is... how strict is this time frame to complete our dates. My cherry picking hours @ work are all over the map for the next week and a bit therefore my time is limited. Theres' so many things and ideas all swimming in my head to do etc. but due to time constraints and travelling distance how strict is this time constraint?
This kind of reminds me of school to have assignments and projects completed by a certain due date and would hand them in late. Yes, old habits die hard.... I know being the instigator that I am... gotta love it!

I'm so sorry to read about some people's unhappy experiences. I was very fortunate to be matched up with AloneInSurrey. Much thanks WTF and her delightful team for such an excellent match!

We contacted each other right away, and at AloneInSurrey's suggestion, our only goal was to have fun. And that's exactly what we did!

It was wonderful to spend an evening getting to know someone over an excellent meal in a fabulous restaurant (great choice AIS!) without any pressure to meet someone's expectations of the ideal mate.

I made a new friend that I wouldn't have otherwise without the Date Pond. Lucky me! And much thanks yet again to the selection committee.

I sure hope that with each round of the Date Pond, people will understand how it works and will joyfully sign up to take the opportunity to meet new friends.

Well, I almost feel guilty that so many folks had a sucking experience…

Nope… I was wrong, it wasn’t guilt… just a little heartburn.

My date was great.

Despite the fact that I (a DEFINITELY want kids guy) was matched with a “don’t want kids” girl (Deal-Breaker from the get go) we had a good time.

Went to Playland, rode crazy beach party, like… 3 times… had my manhood stomped on when SHE won ME a big stuffed snake… living that down will take some time. My date was funny and entertaining and we hit it off well.

Blondienotreally may not be the girl for me but she is absolutely the right girl for someone. She’s awesome!

I’ll definitely sign on for another one of these events.

A.

HELP POND! lol..... guess we'll have to wait and see if he checks his mail soon eh!

Glad people have been enjoying their dates for those who went on them...and lets hope us others can meet within the deadline!

I had a great time meeting BigandTall - making new friends is the best part of this whole thing. Thanks Whos the Fox for starting this - looks like it's a super popular event. Good thinking and thanks again.

I had a great time with Aaron although we were mis-match with our wants in the long term! I have 2 kids and don't want anymore. Geez it sucks when that five years makes a difference. He is very sweet and cute. Although abit of a suck when I won him a snake hee hee!!!!!! A great fun date and what a champ with the rides. It was a blast. Anytime he wants to go to the park again I am game! He is a great catch for someone that wants to start a life and maybe a family someday! C

The new Pond begins August 24. I will "flush" the sign ups on that moring and everyone will need to sign up on of after that date. I am planning on a Sept 7 end date or 100 Fish, whatever comes first, just to keep things a little more manageable.

Well....I've messaged pond control as well as my match. I've met someone and going on a date with another is probably not the best idea. I hope they can set him up with another and give an extension. Whoever gets matched with him will be a lucky woman, he seems like a good catch. Nice, witty, and cute too.

okay now WTF! is going on all the hard work matchers have done! jeez louise what is wrong some pple. It's all in fun and so what if the matches didn't work out. Jamming out on other fishies is ludicrous and bunch of bunk !
Standing each other up is pure chicken shyte and yes I am freaken opinionated so WHT!
Met my match @ an event as we had been email and IM but was not an 'official date".
Am I still eligible for round 2 although I did get and extension and will meet my date one day late?
Still debating for round 2 but doing it more for interest sakes anyways and why the hell not unless someone catches me on their line and vice versa.
