Wow, I left for Vegas before the sign up date so I figured the "experiment" would be full by the time I got back - I had a good time on the first date so I'm looking forward to see what round 2 brings!
Thanks again to all those matchmakers for putting this out there - it is very much appreciated!!!

When we do the matches we do split up the Pond. It was split into island, abby/wack, surrey/langley/delta, okanagan and then Van/richmond/new west

There is no way I am going to match people over long distances unless they specifically tell me it is alright.

Oddly, we had more men than women in most age groups and in most locations. We had trouble matching up smokers because of limited numbers of them participating and we had far too few people under 30.

Now that we have Pond Part One under our belts we have a LOT better grasp on how to organize future Ponds. I am working on compiling reports already of the demographics of Pond Part Deux and will be sending out email encouraging participation in those areas where there is a need. I am nothing if not logical and organized...so relax.. lol

There is no reason why participants in the Pond cannot be contacting Fish outside the Pond and trying to date on their own while they await matching by Pond Control.

It would be awesome if the people who had successful dates posted....but that isn't human nature.

Yep, a coffee date wouldn't be really high on my list of things to do either, but I am all about accomodating people's varying comfort levels...and if coffee is as much as they can manage, then so be it! Better coffee for an hour than stay at home alone in front of the computer monitor!

if u need help with compulations and research count me in that would be a hoot and this is the basis of my thesis project which I will be working on @ the end of Sept. I will pm all the organizers to see if this is okay as well as poll my new friends from POF about their dates etc.

OT: to me it doesn't matter if u smoke or not
Geographically close to home would be nice but what if I move? oh well get to that bridge when we cross it. God, never really understood that one.
maybe because I am afraid of Trolls!

Please do NOT chat to other Pond participants here! Send them an email if you'd like to say something to them.

Thanks!

If any of you are headed to Clearwater this weekend make sure you find me and say Hello! Is far easier to match when I have met someone in person.

And no, you can't bribe me with marshmallows lol

ok, I'm completely new to internet dating, never tried one of these sites before, or a "blind" date kind of thing, but hey, who knows what could happen? Hope everyone has fun, I know I'm going to be looking forward to it!

ANTICIPATION.... has me waaaiiitttinggg.....is this pond date creating some anxiousness for some? Wow! Look @ all the fine pple, some new ones for round 2 and some from round 1.
Excellent!
What I would like to know is what happened to those that were complaining who got stood up and didn't bother to sign up for round 2? Me thinks they are chicken.. buccccc caaaww! or TKO? one punch and ur down? ???? (gives a head a shake). Bailers and wailers grouped into one school of fish as well as the other kind of whalers. It's not nice to kill whales.
Hopefully my other match won't be too intimidated by me and my opinionated self.
Thanks to all the matchmakers for ur hard work in this endeavour and it's all in fun bottom line.
