There are some people who did not get matched due to unequal numbers of men and women in some locations. We did the best we could with the participants we had.

Please note:

Although everyone was very good about having a face photo posted during sign up and matching, it appears that some have now removed the face pic from their profiles. Would you PLEASE have a face pic posted until after you are contacted by your match? Not many people are willing to date body parts.

Thanks

Small world, I see you are set up with Soccergirl there Driver! Someone I know respect and can't say enough good things about. She's going to make someone very happy some day and I couldn't be happier for her or you. Make sure you ask about her shoe collection!

Signing up for Vote a Date Pond means you put yourself into the hands of the matchers. It does NOT mean you get to refuse your match on the grounds you don't feel they are suitable. This rule is clearly stated on the first page.

A refusal to meet your match will disqualify you from any further events as per the rules laid out on page 1.

I will not tolerate this kind of behaviour at all.

WOW - My reputation must precede me - ha ha - I understood the male to female ratio in Victoria was way out of whack with about 4 to 1 males. I am somewhat surprised you had a shortage of female registrants!! Oh well - maybe next time - sounds like fun and a real good reason to get off my a** and enjoy life as it is meant to be!!

Good Luck to ALL - SDOUGAL in Victoria

If any of the other people who signed up mutually decide not to meet, are they also going to be banned from all further events? Or is it just my charms that bring out the best in the moderators?

Yes. ALL matches who decide not to meet will be BARRED from further Vote a Date Pond events.

This is a clearly stated rule and it is one which is universally enforced.

So what avenue is open to those who are unhappy with their choices? Some must drive a long distance to face someone they are simply not interested in? I'm just looking for some sense of what they can do if cornered?
Yes I do realize there is a risk in everything, but sometimes you know well ahead of time that it's a waste of time and money and effort. So what does one do?

well said lookn4u
I have known 'who the fox' for a long time now and she is one of the greatest people I have ever chatted with.
people have to understand that POF is not always about dating, what POF is really about is having fun and meeting people.
I have not met alot myself but I have enjoyed the chats I have had with them.

I wish to send a big thanks out to Missy, WTF, BC Boy and all the other POF'ers who helped out matching everyone up.
And to all you whiners out there, get a grip, suck it up and get on with life. And you got the best the matchers had to work with. Get out there and make some new friends. You never know who or what is waitng for you on a "next" date. So if you looking to meet eye to eye to discuss your date. Come talk to me, i'll do all the face to face discussions for them.

A BIG thanks to foxy and her pond crew! My date and I had a great time even though we had to change venues in mid date. I am sure that those who followed up and met their "date" had a great time!

yup, completed our date as well.
Thanks WTF (u so rock BTW! ) and the matchmakers! Thanks aloneinsurrey! It was fun and a clean and sober activity
We had a blast and went 5 pin bowling
He won all 4 games but it was all in fun.
Made a new friend in the end and that's what it's all about!
The main idea is to go with ur pond date to have fun, go with the flow with an open mind and no preconceived notions etc.
For all the pple (not saying the ones who have signed up), who complain, about POF and
sing the whoooaaaaaaa is me, song and dance.... all I can say is shyte or get off the pot.
PARTICIPATE IN SOME FUN! and stop ur complaining no one wants to hear it!
Maybe they should just delete their profile and stay home and knit!
Can someone make a nice sweater?

Well, this time I got matched twice (thanks Pond Control) and had 2 fun dates - a few games of pool/lunch with one and All-You-Can-Eat Sushi with another.

Meeting new people is what it's all about, because you sure don't meet many on the trip between the t.v. and the fridge.
