You've really got to love being matched with a gent who's profile name is "open and optimistic"!

I have made contact and am anxiously waiting for a reply. Hmmmm he hasn't been online for 4 days but hopefully he will remember he signed up for this little adventure.

Thanks mother wart and wartlets. So glad to hear you're making good use of your new income source.

I WON!! I WON!!

Much thanks to Who The Fox for introducing this fun stuff to our pond! And of course lots of thanks to all the volunteers who made all the splendid matches!

Thats cool of you Calm Seas...

I think its amazing on how fast the profiles are disappearing, its sad really that there are people out there who are all talk and no show and I'm not too sure why they signed up for this event if they are afraid to meet the people they were matched with. I don't know how I am suppose to get in touch with apophis because there isn't a profile for him anymore. Hopefully, I am not going to get stood up, thats just so wrong.

Apparently I am doing double duty here. I just don't know how I got so lucky. It really too bad profiles are disappearing. You really have to wonder why people put their names in the pool if they weren't willing to play by the rules...

I am completely DISGUSTED with the behaviour of some of the people who VOLUNTARILY signed up to participate in Vote a Date!

Hopefully, we have seen the end of the LOSERS and COWARDS deleting their profiles and now the ADULTS can settle in and meet their matches and have fun.

The rules were posted at the very beginning of this event as were the "penalties" for not following them.

ANYONE WHO DOES NOT MEET THEIR MATCH WITHIN THE 14 DAYS IS BANNED FROM ALL FURTHER VOTE-A-DATE EVENTS.

The organisers will not tolerate this kind of petty and reprehensible behaviour from anyone.

Hopefully, all the readers of this thread will make a list of the people exhibiting this juevenile behaviour for future reference. I know that I am certainly doing so.

you should list the profiles that have "disappeared" at the bottom of page 1

as a warning to all and a "paper trail" of sorts!

excellent job wtf..............It is a sad day on pof when these people can not even meet someone as a friend ...and to support the pof way........I fortunately removed my self for other reasons before the deadline.........just a suggestion ...thought ....what ever...for the next time......maybe if you make it a fundraiser for a charity........that would deter people from shying away........and also do some good for our communities.........again great job...... I am looking forward to seeing the results of the dates......

No charity fundraisers are allowed. As for the ladies without dates because some spineless person backed out, you could pick me or my gf, your choice, and we will happily have a date with you Sept long weekend...

I'm hoping some good dates come out of this as Pond Control and her minnows worked very hard to do their best with matches. Having 200 people to go through, match and rely on written profiles wasn't easy, I would say.

For those who continue through with their dates, WOOHOO! Kudos to you!

For those who bail, I hereby give you a bucket of dead fish for future bait.

Stinkers.

I wanted to say thank you to Fox, your quick response to my dilemma was appreaciated. I have now sent an E-mail to my potential match. I also wanted to give a big thank you to all the volunteers who put their heads together and work their way through all 200 people.

I for one won't be backing out, because that is spineless and a cruel response to your picked partner. What a crappy way of saying thank you to people who are trying to do a nice thing for you.

I agree a list should be posted - I joined the pool, but evidently didn't notice that it was "closed for August" when I did. I promise I will be part of the next one.

I seriously wonder why people join such groups if they are afraid of the outcome. Why don't they just do their own fishing then - simple. I'm not sure what people expected out of this. Rules are pretty clear - meet new friend have fun .... nowhere in the rules did I see must embrace, kiss, date and marry.

Being a woman I have to say to all the men who are backing out, deleting their profiles and such - Stop acting like school boys and try to step up to the plate, maybe then you won't have such a problem finding the dates/women you are looking for.

And for all you awesome men who are going with the flow - My hat is off to you, real men with real personalities.

Hopefully next one won't be as disappointing for some (me included) and looking forward to hearing the results of your encounters.

HAVE FUN EVERYONE and have a for me (well actually a glass of wine is better....lol)

I agree with you frenshkiss .... you guys all knew what you were getting into when you signed on so unless you have a good reason for backing out or I think you are gonna be blackballed and will have to go fishing in another pond.

I made a guess you weren't talking about the dragonlady in Missouri or Ontario. Already mailed dragonlady45, hope she's the right one.

Some of these "lost dates" may not be lost at all. It may be due to missing spaces etc. Dont forget some of these people may not have checked their matches as of yet. Who knows, once they check their matches, you just may find you have a date after all. I know it took me a bit of a search to find mine.

I sure do hope there are a lot of missed spaces or mis-spelled names. I can pick up some of the slack but there's no way I can take it all. I'm only human after all.

Kevlar...lots of people take their time in responding...I know I do..

I think the best thing to do really, is the people that back out should be mailed to Fox, where she can keep a list, and they can be removed from any further options of the vote a date.

Hope that is ok with you Fox?

Public humiliation is not becoming of anyone.

-edit...curious...you redheads can't keep up to me;)
