I thought I should offer some tried, tested and true remedies...

If you are choking on an ice cube, don't panic.
Simply pour a cup of boiling water down your
throat and presto, the blockage will be almost instantly

Clumsy? Avoid cutting yourself while slicing
vegetables by getting someone else to hold them while
you chop away.

You can avoid arguments with the Mrs. about lifting
the toilet seat just by using the sink.

For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself
and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure
in your veins. Remember to use an egg timer.

A mouse trap placed on top of your alarm clock
will prevent you from rolling over and going back to
sleep after you hit the snooze button.

If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of
laxatives. Then you will be afraid to cough.

No need to thank me.

....ginger tea by boiling water with lots of slices or grated ginger.
Add honey if you must. This tea is spicy and delicious too!

Giner tea is also good for colds, drink it while it is still steamy hot, than wrap yourself up in a warm blanket and sweat it out.

Bake pears and honey will sooth a sore throat.

Apple cider vinegar works for so many things...Google it and find out it's magic.

2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon of honey in warm water will do miracles

I am allergic to bactrim and sulfur drugs so if I get a bladder infection (rare) it is the only thing I can take and it works!!!

Well.. it might be easier to put the lid down than to clean the sink! LOL

Salt 'n vinegar chips at the first sign of a sore throat works great, especially with kids, as an alternative to gargling salt water.

Red Zinger tea with lemon.. made into iced-tea is amazing at dealing with strep throat cough.

Ginger Tea as mentioned works great for indigestion. It will also clear your sinuses aid in breaking a fever and make your house smell great.

It seems even doctors are using tape, or as mentioned above glue, instead of stitches. It works and less scarring. Masking tape works great for a papercut.

Broccoli has more iron content than spinach.

Evening primrose oil, calcium/magnesium and Black Cohosh for pms.

A swift kick in the behind for smart alecks! It never fixes the problem, but at least you feel better.

The best remedy for psoriasis is sunlight. A tan is the best cure for it. A friend of mine had it really bad and she used to go to the tanning beds in the winter. A good physio therapy clinic will have tanning beds specifically designed to treat it.

For pms (pi*s and moan syndrome :tongue) or for headaches. Brew a pot of tea using lemon rind, orange rind, lavender, rose hips and mugwort (it's a herb you can get at most pagan stores or herbalists).

Let it steep for 5 mins and drink it black... sugar and milk will weaken it to the point it loses it's healing powers. bath with lavender (not the oil the actual buds)

To get refreshed after a long day before heading out again..take a bath with peppermint tea (loose or in their bags), vanilla beans and sea salt...

Sore feet.. put some peppermint oil into your normal hand lotion.

another remedy for fleas is garlic. Give your dog/cat raw garlic mashed up in some wet food once a week. NOOOOOOOOO more fleas!

"Goo Gone" is great stuff and would probably work. Available at most hardware stores, Canadian Tire, etc.

Try searching google for "tree pitch removal from clothing"

Good luck.

I find it difficult to purr when there is a critter on my chest or tummy, too distracting.

Heck if the critter is big I'll probably have trouble breathing, never mind purr.

When I was in Mexico and suffering from the same condition, a local went and got me some cream of tartar and put a tsp (maybe 2?) in a fanta pop. Drank it down and in a 1/2 an hour I was better.
