Spirit Quest

Long time coming
The quest of two
Finding some peace
In the mind of Moo
Traveled the States
Left and right
Made it one way
Love the sights
Kicking back
In nature's hue
Goats and chickens
In plain view
Dog fed them Apples
And threw some shoes
Loving the land
And BBQ's
I'm heading out Saturday
Back to the heat
Dog might stay north
Squeezing a teet
All is well
On this Spirit Quest
For both our minds
We've passed the test!!!!

Love ya all

Cock is crowing
Nature's alarm
Sipping the coffee
On the funny farm
Lazy day for us
Chilling with friends
Last day vacation
Tomorrow it ends
Back on the road
We're taking our time
Photos to come
Travel sublime.....

One Last Moo

Sensitive to our thoughts
And always there to listen
To have known him personally
We will all be missing
His humor was graphic and raw
Yet straight to the point
In one hand he held a beer
The other a joint
Puff The magic Dragon
And Tequila Sunrise
Just a few of the songs
That now bring Tears to my eyes
Each knew him differently
Through good times and bad
Through his struggle for sobriety
Through the passing of his dad
From the fight for his house
No water or Electric, he survived by fire
Outside and under the stars
With the moon to admire
Some knew him sexually
Some knew his heart
Some pole danced for him
all connected from the start
Some knew his family
Some just his name
Some knew his writing
Some played the game
One thing is for sure
He was one of a kind
No one could replace
Friendships intertwined...............

Moo my friend......
Rest in Peace

I've also cried buckets reading old poetry. I thought the forums were killed, I didn't know they were just hidden.

Was anyone able to find an obituary? none are coming up in searches for me.

Nothing yet Pandy, Still waiting to hear from his brother.
The forums never left, they just stuck us in the shadows. Never understood why? I just sneak in a peak around still.

Last post Bob got to make was on our trip up north. I was blessed to have such a great person set out with me on a spirit quest.

You know how when you miss someone you love who has passed, you go to their house to be near their stuff?

That's why I'm here reading over and over... it's like touching his stuff, wrapping up in his blanket.

Wish I had saved a voice mail to roll over and over. " Hey sis' ... big booming laugh... iiiiits your Doggie"

Shakin' up the afterlife

chicken burning on the sunset fire
never quenching an inner desire,
finding nothing does lasts forever
time this earthly life will surely sever

I did stop counting so very long ago
of all the friendships going to and fro,
memories or the ones I can recall
I choose to think of one's having a ball

I cant say I will see you once again
for in heaven there is no crying rain,
its one or the other I do believe
and for that choice there is no reprieve

my heart is filled with such untimely death
while I am the one here breathing a breath,
I may have become numb to the stinging loss
as many I loved life's boundary did cross

R.I.P. my Braun- miss our midnight convo's
this site will never be the same

Abandoned Trails In The Woods

You, know
Sometimes, I don't even get me
Some are able to see right through me

Playing hide and seek with myself
Does take its toll on oneself!

Trying to keep it all together
Somewhat lost without our soothsayer

The Great I AM

But to forget
I dare you
I am the dappled sun
that lights your way
with warmth
I am the flower, nodding
to the bee
I am the cooling breeze
that sets the leaves to whisper
I am the wild, the fey
the feral
watching your noisy progress
with somber eyes
I am the water that sings
over rocks
and baptizes soil and seed
one day, you will join me
beyond remembering
you will, finally
know peace
through grace
in being

I don't know why, but you're on my mind today. Miss you dawg, but I know you're still a part of this universe.

I can't get to where you are interred, brawnydog.
Here today to read and miss you.
I have two grandaughters now... they are both exactly like me in temperament, and one has what you called my "laser" eyes.
I wish I could tell you my stories so I can hear your laugh.
rest easy.
