What fish personalities? Not seeing that option on my profile?

ok well if your going to do that we should have the choice of fish or sea creature. This will become like the standard body type thing or zodiac sign. There is more choice of fish . I voted no....It's cute though.

all i had to do was go back to edit ur profile and tell it no personality to take it off.

ok am i missing something here, but where do you pick a fish personality and where would it go on your profile?
Posted: 3/14/2007 3:58:19 AM
It'd be nice if there were little descriptions by each one, since people could take things differently, just look at the long term/friends/hang out thingie. Someone might take turtle becausse they're thinking they're tough skinned almost like a shell and they can take anything, another might choose it because they see themselves as bashfull and try to hide when they're nervous, someone else might just be slow.

pictures of the fish, stupid little animated gifs maybe, or static cartoon-style pics of each fish would make this useable....noone is going to want to add some strange predicate to their already chosen names. but to pop a picture of the personality fish up there...that'd be different.

I'm a Big Mouth Bass!! Foul Mouth Bass would be more appropriate. What do I care, my profile is hidden for now.

It never ceases to amaze me the difficulty people have adjusting to change. Come on peoples dont ya know sometmes change is good otherwise if all stays the same all the time people lose interest. Admin. sure got your attention and perked it up even if for a short period of time. Amazing how quick panic can set in. Adjust, change is good keeps you on your toes.

yes i think it is cool and be a load of fun we need to laugh at ourselves as life is to short to be serious so we may not have much to choose from but hey life is ment to take life as it comes no one knows what all of our future holds in relationships the main thing is now take some risks amd just be happy and enjoy what we have life

okay, that just bites....i went to check it out on my profile to see the list. i wanted to find out what the meanings for the personality is behind each of the fish and came back in here to see is there was any mention with how to find out exactly what kind of fish i would be. i didn't see anything that would help me so i went back in just to put any fish in there and "poof" it's gone. i want it back i want to put an angel fish in there since that's pretty much my favorite fish.
how do i get it back and how do i find out the meanings behind all of the fish?

It is a neat feature and there is alot to choose from, but I think it could be in a better location on the page. In the opening line looks kind of funny. KLS Oh yeah, the favorites were in a much better spot before too.

I voted no, but obviously I'm not going to pack my bags and leave if it comes to pass.
Anyhow, here is my reasoning:
I don't think that it adds anything to my profile. I would be more inclined to pick a "fish" (a few of those aren't actually fish) that I like rather than something that represents me. (I think that it is difficult to represent myself this way anyhow.)
I agree with what someone above said... if this gets implemented it would be nice if there were descriptions of the individual fish traits. (Again, look at the "What are you here for?" and "Body type" descriptors... vague questions limit discourse.)
I noticed that several people (who probably voted yes) said "Neat!" or "what a cute idea!"
I agree with them: it is neat and cute... but I don't see how it helps my profile be any more effective than it is, and I could see ways that it would make it more confusing.

I also like the option to opt out of this.... but I'd prefer an option that wasn't "no personality."

i am not even sure what just happened now ...but i want it off! anyone know how to do that?
Posted: 3/14/2007 6:09:19 AM
I think it is so adorable. I mean people describe themselves so many ways in a profile and this is just another word that makes you know how one feels about them self. Im so like a dolphin always jumping in and out of things and im funny and make cute sounds. lol Doplphins also travel in pairs and swim with other dolphins. NOw i do have a new boyfreind but am looking for freinds such as other dolphins or ocean critters to go drink with and double date too! Happy Fishing, and remeber after a date theres always catch or release!!
