Forgive your past, head for your future,
but live the present as best you can,
For time is short, but life can be grand,
as long as you always remember to walk
Hand in Hand!

Hand in Hand is a small poem that I wrote for a couple that was getting married, but I guess it can apply to other relationships too! I hope you liked it.
Peace I'm out of here......................... ROB

Sarah and Seaz...lovely writing both of you!

Fingers...welcome to the fireside, and thanks for the write. Hope you visit again.

A summer's breeze
dancing lightly,
moving slightly
a wisp of hair

yet, she sleeps...

her luscious lips
parted, like rose petals
peeking at the morn,
a half smile,
as if revealing
a clue,
to a secret dream

and I watch her,
afraid to move
that I might disturb
such beauty,

Fingers of morning sun
playfully caress
her naked flesh,
illuminating her aura
in a sensual bath,

I gently leaned in,
pressing my flesh to hers,
nibbling her neck,
and she turned,
rolling into me,
as she whispered
good morning,
in all the right places.

He has a beautiful plume that Peacock;
a display to attract a pea hen.
Confused Pea hens can't notice,
while healthy turn with a grin.

Confused they pluck his bright feathers,
reducing him down to their own.
Healthy they're drawn to his shadow,
his purpose there it is known.

Yes that Peacock he has quite a spread now;
it's purpose is for to see.
You see, that Peacock he has those bright feathers,
for you ...will you with him ...be?

Nice Poem, Manny. Here's one small piece of one of mine
that holds similar sentiments. Luri

Early morning
Has awakened him.
He stirs against my back,
Pulls me to him,
Pushing to visions still and quiet within,
Sheltered warm and winsome behind closed eyes.
Sleep.

Away from it all ~

White, sheer veils billowed
The wind spoke to them...
They lulled us onto peace
...almost a slumber
Somewhere between awareness
and dreams,
We lay with just a draped sheet
feeling the kiss of breezes;
just lying in a room of open air
Nowhere to be
No promises to keep
A song rises up off the cliffs
where the wave crashes go...
So fully content just to be
in the moment

Two days painting
my walls
With this thought
tucked into my wittle head,
I say nighty night ya'll!

btw...great writes!
Very good one, Manly!

Wow Dale, that was awsome! You know, a thought just crossed my mind. I come here and read all the great heartfelt writings of some very talented super people. It is a refreshing break from some of the horrible things others write in response to those hurting and posting asking questions. You know, those that joke about someones very real pain or situation. I'm so glad I never see any of that here.
Yep, I really like sitting on the log here at the fireside among some great friends and feeling decent people. Anyone got some marshmellows?

here by the fireside
a place to come and be
a gathering quite simply
of people speaking honestly
sharing their deeper identity
many feeling daring and free
to open up and let others see
what has created our psyche
to join this hermetic circle
of poets of humanity
feeling like family
growing deeply
and lovingly
as the heat
takes hold
warming
and relaxing
heart and soul
feeling our unity
created so beautifully
rise like the water's tide
as the flames reach high
joining earth with sky
here by the fireside

Thank you all!...BKS, Jimmy, WeareI...this is where the heart speaks, without fear!

Go forth my minstrels,
play my heart song,
let thy melodies fill
the valleys, the rivers,
the streams and the hills,
play my love song
in the towns and villages,
the pubs and the Inns

Let my song be heard,
far and wide,
from dawns first light,
to the dark of night,
for she is there,
somewhere,

hark! that she will hear,
and beckon you,
for she is the seeker,
the jewel of my song,
the ache in my heart,
we are...destiny!

Hiya Juju...you sure can darlin!

How do I love thee?

A syllable cannot kiss you,
nor can words caress you

then

how do I love thee?

through song of the sea
and dew on the morn,
a rose without thorn,

a breeze in the willows,
a tapestry of sky,
a sun and a moon,
with a song to fly.

tis a mantra
of hearts!

Seaz... a tribute to a music icon^^^^ May he rest in peace!

A true story

tonight, I threw on a sweater,
went to the market...
and somehow noticed something weird...
people staring, smiling
at me...Ok?
what gives!

and then it happened!

from under my sweater
fell a pair of thongs!!

Without fabric sheets
they clung inside my sweater
until they fell out...
IN THE MARKET!!!

I swear folks...they were my daughters!!

I shiver in the night
For my skin
has not been touched
In that way
for such a long time

And like a magnet
I am pulled
To the glare
of his eyes

I wonder
If it's possible
To have overlooked

One thing
I might have missed...

Or am I correct
To assume
That it is all in the kiss

I've been so ornery
For so very long
It's hard to tell whether I'm being stubborn
Or if this undying song
That replays over and over
Again in my mind
Really is the one
I'll want for all time

And I shiver
As the light from my laptop
Heats my mind
Causes lies to spew
Makes me wish I could find
A more permanent solution
Patches can't fill
the lack of affection...

I need to be held
I need my satisfaction
But to take such a thing
Without a damned old wedding ring
In my mind is a sin
So here I am again
Denying my needs
Planting the seeds
For a lonely life
Filled with regret...

Shades of Blue

A young girl ambles through shades of blue,
while black of night seeps idly through.
A lone wolf's cries steal the calm,
and a daughters sighs long for dawn.

Hear this heart it's blood does pour,
feel the slight of love's closed door.
Feel me now for I tremble and shake,
a kiss upon my head it does take.

Snatch from me this solitary time,
make dance with me as not just mine.
Answer's bring with you do come,
like end of night and rise of sun.

A young girl ambles through shades of blue,
another days passing and seeing it through.
The dawn of new day come,
the dream of new love won.

Oh Manny...
Just spit out
Your sweet words of passion

Drift my mind
To a mysterious time
I've known all along
But yet to experience
Paint your lips
On another's shoulder
And let me feel
The desire I want

Awe,
neighbor kitty
belly full of life,
I think...
often stays half hidden
in the bushes
with a mane of leaves
around her head
Curious kitty
with no intentions...
just rests and watches
Funny,
have not seen her today
perhaps she's too busy to lurk
perhaps she feeds her babes
Awe kitty!

speaking of kitties
these days i have two
a siamese rescue four years ago....
saved when just a few weeks old
from a cattery who did not uphold
the basic rights of a cat....
raising these babies
for their pedigrees
she would breed and ship them out
just for profit, no doubt....
for these poor kits
were raised in a cage
which would break my heart
for any living being...any age...
does not take a sage to know
when a young kitten hisses
it means 'tis love that they misses

Well...
If a wild kitten hisses
It might not be missing
This thing you describe as love
For it might just be acting
In the way it was meant to be
Who's to say
That by taming them
We are giving them
What they need

... lol, just made me think of the psycho kitties up at Mom's... do not touch radiates from their eyes, so free and wild, makes you want to run and hide
