OP, the pubes are the least of your problems.

I'd be more concerned about the ex visiting for sex dealie but that's just *me*.

now back to the topic, everyone has their preferences, but they are just that, preferences. I cannot imagine giving an ultimatum to a guy like that! insane!

I don't 'Shave' but I do trim things pretty close.
Two reasons for that,
1. Hygiene.
After high school sports, 16 years in the military, and lots of camping, I can tell you things clean up better when they are trimmed up...

2. I like getting oral sex, and all my previous girlfriends have told me they would rather not compete with the 'Forrest' to find the 'johnson'...
All my previous girlfriends have bee in agreement about this one item...
Guys that don't trim and have a 'jungle' are Perceived to be lacking in hygiene.

SO!,
Since I'm an average white guy, I don't need 'Old Growth' getting in the way of me getting one of my top five favorite things in life!
And I'm outdoors a lot, and trimmed up tidy makes it easier for me to get things clean.

One last thought.
When I first started this thread there were people attempting to have it deleted. Thus came the vote. I was pleasantly surprised that the thread won out and so many people had put so much thought and energy in this issue. I thank you all.
What surprised me was that the vast majority of threads are so lame and shallow. How have we become so obsessed with such trivial things? Is it TV? Are our lives so boring that we place such importance in garbage.
I used to own a video dating service and knew all my clients very well. The men with depth and substance usually came in last. But, the guys who bullshitted their way through interpersonal communications got laid all the time. My worst offender was a 65 yr old man who told all the women that his last wife got him for $7M... He laid every woman in the service! All the guys wanted a "playboy bunny" and all the women wanted "a generous man." In most cases their expectations were totally out of line. My own mother died alone. When I asked her why she didn't remarry she told me that she didn't find a man with enough money.
Being single I check out the women on plentyoffish and so many are looking for "the one" (the one to pay their credit card debt...), their "soul mate" (could this be a mispelling of "sole", i.e., someone to walk on?) or someone "honest" (come on, this is the internet, everyone lies).
We all need a reality check. There is a reason that we are all single.
Remember, no expectations, no disappointments.

p.s. In one my my thread installments I stated that I didn't care if a woman had hairy legs, armpits or pubes. I need to qualify this further: I do object to connected eyebrows, thick mustaches, hairy backs and hairs growing from grotesque facial warts.

Every time you shave it off...the tougher and more thicker it is. I think Seinfeld taught me that one. HA! But it is true...the more you shave, the more it come back with stronger hairs. Men know this from shaving their faces...but to shave their boys bald?! Uhm....I wouldn't even dare attempt to put a razor next to them...that's the precious cargo down there...no way. Uh uh...not gonna do it.
sorry your wrong shaving dosent make it grow back thicker or tougher thats one of those old tales I too will not shave down there but one of those little mustache trimmers does wanders and no danger and no stubble and most cannot tell its not shaved, but it is a lot cleaner cooler and more sensitive

Aren't some things just better left to ones self? lol....some people need to re-think what they announce to the whole world on here...you are not doing yourself any justice in finding dates if that is your choosing lol....boy oh boy....
this is a forum and im not concerned who does or does not know things like whether i have hair down there , I state my opinion and if that keeps me from getting a date with someone i don't need a date with them

generally women you want their guys shaved like to give oral and don't want a mouthful of hair. i think that is a pretty fair trade.

one thing about the demanding people ... have you tried saying no? sometimes, especially early in a relationship, people like to test borders and limits. it's just human nature.

sometimes running away is a wimps way out, you may have had a good thing if you had some balls and told her what YOU wanted (even though they may have been shaved)

Hey there "DRUGSTORE COWBOY" your remark "Dude no offence but you look like you over the hill, hillbilly boy..." is very offensive. I saw your profile and you have a bar code tattooed to your neck and wear fatigues. What are you trying to prove? Are you jealous that I am a man, a real man? I may be older than you but have gotten more p u s s y than you ever thought was possible. So much, in fact, that, as in this case, I sometimes turn it down. I dodged this bullet because I am more mature and have learned that "getting lucky" sometimes means going home alone. I am sure that these thoughts were lost on a moron who tattooes a bar code on the back of his neck.

Oh, and if you'd email me direct ~ I'll share the little secret to BABY SMOOTH removal everytime. Yep, I've figured it out finally, sent the info to a few friends, and they all agree ~ "Holy hell...it's possible." I started shaving & trimming and whatnot at 17. At the time, I hadn't noticed anybody except porn 'actors' doing it, but I *DID* like it when a woman was shaved, and I don't believe in asking anyone to do anything that I'm not willing to do myself.

To my delight, I found that it feels better and that I'm more likely to get oral attention from women (which I want.) More than a decade later, and I still shave daily, even when I don't have a regular partner. It takes all of 30-60 seconds when you've got it down to a science, and you smell better and look 'cleaner.'

I rarely get in grown hairs. I'm not at all metrosexual. It's a simple equation:

Smooth balls = more attention to balls from her = happy me.

Thanks for your support.

Make SURE you use a gel and not a regular foam. I've tried both, and the gel gets into crevices alot better, plus it seems to give a bit more razor burn protection.

Just to offer a different opinion... I don't use anything. No gel, no cream, no soap. I just keep my razor in the shower, and shave while I'm shampooing my hair. I rarely ever cut myself even with a super-dull razor.

DO NOT USE A CHEAP RAZOR. For much the same reazon that I would never use an electric razor. I swear by Gillette Mach 3.

I agree. The cheap razors suck. I also use the mach 3. And though I shave daily, I rarely have to change the blade. Cheaper by far to buy one of those than to go through a pack of cheapies every week and deal with all the nicks.

I don't wear briefs, so that isn't the issue.

That *IS* the issue. Briefs perform that same job you claim the hair does. They stay close the the sweaty balls and absorb that moisture. Where would you rather retain the residual odor? in your underwear (which can be quickly removed) or attached to your body?

Boxer BRIEFS. That's the way to go. You can always be like a woman and keep some regular boxers around when you go on dates. You think they all wear black lace thongs all the time? Think again.

Three posts in a row about balls? I think I better stop now.

LMAO ~ devotion to your little buddies is very endearing. (That was just too funny.)

Just a side note, new razor out, kills the Mach. Gillette Fusion. 4 blades ~ I have both, but the Fusion is like the Farari of non-surgical razors.

Ninki is totally cool. I wish she lived closer to me, or vice versa...

Still, I cannot understand what the big deal is about men shaving their "special purpose." When I started this thread I was perplexed about this woman and her ultimatum. It does border on the pathological. Same with the guys who want to look like little boys. So what if it makes your package look bigger. Are you that insecure? Is your****that small.

Me, My Sequoia Tree stands proud amongst the brush! javascript:smilie('')

So what, I smell like a man because I am a man. And, what's the big deal about a little hair in her mouth? I want a woman to smell like a woman, not a sterilized surgical instrument. If our pheronones (primitive chemical messengers) don't turn each other on there is no hope for intimacy.

Besides, it's not about getting laid, or keeping "score." It's that special connection with another human being. Being accepted for who you are, unconditionally.

Methinks the gentleman doth protest too much.

I don't shave to make my junk look bigger. I shave to make it look, smell and (apparently) taste better.

Actually, that's the purpose of it. If you bathe regularly, your 'personal odor' should be a turnon to the opposite sex.

Ninki,

You don't even LIKE oral sex. So maybe you only get a small whiff of that stink from your vantage point. For people like myself who like to spend 30-45 minutes dining on genitals, a little (or a lot) less hair is definitely a GOOD thing. Don't worry, even without ridiculous amounts of hair around it, it still smells like a c0ck.

This post has degenerated into a name calling brawl by males who live thousands of miles apart. Until Drugstore Cowboy arrived we were being civil to one another. There are women reading these posts and we don't need to give them an even lower opinion of men than they already have... Why do we need to posture and prove anything to anyone. We'll never see one another face-to-face, or toe-toe-toe, so talking trash just demonstrates a weakness in personality. An inability to communicate. A masculine male does not need to talk trash. Nor does he need to talk someone down to feel better about himself. DC, you have demonstrated a level of immaturity that makes you look childish/foolish. You set an example of how not to behave among grown-ups.

I agree with you, but probably many more men pressure their WOMEN To shave their pubes.

no big deal to me in any way, shaved, close trim, moderate bush.

but a huge hairy jungle CAN be a bit of a turnoff! (esp. if you, like me, enjoys giving oral sex)

I think this could be largely a generational/trend thing too.. years ago, in the 1970's, 1980's a big bush/muff was the norm.

then it became more fashionable to trim 'em down tight..then to shave..

maybe Britney Spears, Paris & Lindsay helped start it; it's now apparently 'fashionable' to wear no undies and flash your coozie for the photographers?

looks so much better in the morning paper shaved clean I suppose..?

it still seems much more popular amongst women than men; though I hear that shaving the pubes can help a smaller guy appear 'larger'.

not into the stubble down there myself; i think it's a matter of personal preference & comfort.

Nope. Girls were doing it more than 10 years ago. Almost every woman I've been with was already shaved when I met her. A few of them I had to do it myself, but it seems to be the 'norm' now.

That's why you shave every day. Shave every day = no stubble.
