Cunning Linguist is one of my favourite nicks that I've seen online. *chuckling* What a great play on words.

not very original, there was a song many years ago.. (by Deep Purple, that used that phrase..a common cunning linguist..a master of many tongues..)

Deep Purple - Knocking At Your Back Door Lyrics

(Blackmore/Glover/Gillan)

Sweet Lucy was a dancer
But none of us would chance her
Because she was a Samurai
She made electric shadows
Beyond our fingertips
And none of us could reach that high
She came on like a teaser
I had to touch and please her
Enjoy a little paradise
The log was in my pocket
When Lucy met the Rockett
And she never knew the reason why

I can't deny it
With that smile on her face
It's not the kill
It's the thrill of the chase

Feel it coming
It's knocking at the door
You know it's no good running
It's not against the law
The point of no return
And now you know the score
And now you're learning
What's knockin' at your back door

Sweet Nancy was so fancy
To get into her pants we
Had to be the aristocracy
The members that she toyed with
At her city club
Were something in diplomacy
So we put her on the hit list

"Of a common cunning linguist
A master of many tongues"

And now she eases gently
From her Austin to her Bentley
Suddenly she feels so young

Sandalz,

Monikers are like men...all of the good ones are taken...and most of the bad ones too...

Your post just suggested a user name I would avoid...

"Moniker Lewinsky!"

I think the "sexy" names have their place, but it's interesting how many select 'long term' and block people looking for initimate encounters, etc. That conjures up someone trying to be what they really aren't. Whether that's deliberate (as in a player) or accidental, it sends up a yellow flag, at the least.

Drug related nicknames are just some llllllllllaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmeeeeeeeee!

Unless the people reading it are fans of George Thorogood and the Destroyers ...they'll probably just think you're an alcoholic.
I'm just sayin'....

It's not always the name but sometimes the mind reading it.
It's like Dee Snider said in front of Tipper Gore, if you look hard enough you're gonna find it , but you have to be familiar with Twisted Sister to know what that's about. Anyway,, wanna know where my name came from ?

My username is completely made up, so any images it creates is completely in your head(although I've heard people say that they pronounce it really close to the word "Chipper")

Now, if you Google my username, it really helps create a (negative) image of myself- 4200 hits and they're all mine(sometimes its over 10,000)

Anything evil or sick sounding makes me cringe... one was named Grim Reaper or Grumpy... (not the seven dwarfs type) ... if person is that negative why bother? Or overly sexual names are a big no-no to me and most women of any age.

If I have a nickel for every time I've been asked that on dating site, I'd be more wealthy than Bill Gates. I found it humorous, thus my choice.

yes, I guess I can see how the mafia is 'cute' or humorous'..

well except maybe to their victims

not sure what this whole thing about glamorizing the mafia or other outlaws is lately.

movies like all the Godfather series, Scarface, the Sopranos series.

people seem to sort of admire or worship these people, some also admire outlaw bikers..maybe becasue this lifestyle seems like 'freedom' and these peopel do things many would like to do, but lack the balls to do?

many people seem t think or act as though they are all modern day "Robin Hoods".

though they are actually robbin' hoods

This whole defamation of the Italian culture has been going on for decades, perhaps even centuries. I

WTF ?!?! ARE you talking about?

you didn't call yourself "Italian" chix rule, you called yourself MAFIA chicks rule..

is it 'defamation' to say that the mafia has engaged in acts of violence and murder?

um, yeah, O-K..

Okay~ go on and try to guess why I picked mine lol, Any takers?

gothchilde

Because you're not into Visigoths and you are into the Childe Cycle? Or maybe I'm reading too much into the science fiction preferences.
