Dusting yourself off - Does it get harder with age?

I think to truly answer this question we need someone really really really aged/old :)

we all need a basis of comparison for this type of question(or the number 42)
its not like we are old ...c'mon guys
i will ask my gran, but she is only 70. Will get back to you, if it was the non-proverbial question like does nan's golf game get harder with age I will go with yes

cheer up ole timer fishies

This must be my cue, then . . .

So the answer is . . yes, it gets easier with age as you've had more time to make more mistakes.
Therefor, the secret to quickly dusting yourself off is to make as many mistakes as possible . . which explains why I find it easy!

Yep, just be honest about those little snippets [pardon the scissory pun] of the past and you'll soon be done and dusted.

^^^ I see your 70 year old Nan (a mere whippersnapper) and I raise you my 95 year old Nana and her twin sister. Nana passed her annual test to retain her driving licence in May and likes to bet on horses at the TAB and ...(as some of you already know) ... still bakes scones pretty much every day, while her sister (who astonishingly has eaten no vegetables other than potato her whole life) has the whole bingo scene tied up. Nana recently dusted herself off from a knee joint problem, refusing to take her pain relief medication or use the walking frame, because it inhibited her too much when she wanted to get out and rake the yard or pull some weeds. There is certainly no dust on that woman.

I say it gets plenty easier with age..

There's a lot to be said for a good game of bingo

My parents are almost 70 but so lively and active I never see them as "old" (although I tease them plenty about it). My Mum and I go walking in the evenings (up hill and down dale) and they are always out in the garden planting vege gardens or putting in flower beds, also they have almost finished renovating their Queenslander. Champions!

Dusting yourself off definately gets harder with age, the arthritis sets in and it can be hard to reach the really dusty spots, then ya gotta be able to see your toes to tell if your boots are dusty, then you can get stuck in an awkward possie trying to reach that ......hang on .....nearly got it....spot

Don't dust yourself off maybe the answer!!

If you leave the dust, it gets caught in the cobwebs and makes really pretty patterns!!

Good thinking ^^^^^^ Hilly

Don't you judge how well a wine has been left to mature by the dust it has collected

I think it does get harder with age and it doesn't. Like anything, getting older and wiser in the love game has it's pros and cons.
I think as we get older we are more aware of who we are as a person and therefore we are less tolerant of bad behaviour within a relationship and tend to only go looking for 'Mr right' rather than 'Mr right now'. In saying that though, we also invest more into the right person and it makes it that much harder when trying to 'bounce back'.
