Thats funny Macforty as i've seen that written on a lot of male profiles. I reckon everyone must be doing it lol.

No I like my age and i've thoroughly enjoyed my 30s which to date has been the best decade ever!!! I'm actually starting to look forward to entering my 40s too as I know so many women in their 40s that look great and are having the time of their lives, plus my son will be old enough to be doing his own thing, leaving me to do mine

I am more comfortable being 45 than I was being 25....I look and feel better than I've ever felt...

I have a self confidence now that I didn't have back then, I know where I'm going and appreciate where I've been...

I had a really hard time turning 30, but now....

Life is good in your 40's.....

I didn't, but I'm learning to be always happy and to cast caution to the wind.
The only things I don't get, are when:
1) People tell me that exercising means I'm having a mid-life crisis.
2) People keep being surprised that I actually listen to modern music, including, if you can believe this: Snoop. He's only 2 years younger than me.

I'm comfortable with who i am age is only a part of this ,yes i love being my age and tomorrow i hope i feel the same ,ive never had a problem with my age just with me ,its the only suit you cant change it comes in and out of fashion ,but we were it all the same

Almost 27 and happy with it, although getting ID'd everytime I go out gets a little boring, I know people think I'm younger and thats up to them, talk to me and you might find I sound a lot older than I am.

My main concern is I seem to attract men old enough to be my dad and that is a little creepy.

I've not read all the thread either and I agree what can you do about it? Even if you spend a lot of money trying to look younger you'll never be younger.

Your age and how you look are two different things, well to me they are.

Do I have a probelm with my age...... not at all.

I never really think about my age. I look as old as I look and act the way I act - it's an age thing lol. Fair enough if someone said I looked 60 I might be upset but otherwise age doesn't bother me.

Every age has it's advantages and disadvantages. Would I like to be a youngster again , wrinkle free and no grey hairs but with all the worries of getting mortgages, having kids - noooooo - but neither am I ready to jump in my grave.

Maybe some people feel they have to 'explain' their age because they cannot accept the years going by. In their minds they are youngsters even if their bodies show the ravages of time. Maybe they need a confidence boost. Maybe they are looking for a lost youth.

At the end of the day, so long as your happy with the way you feel, does age or other peoples 'guesses' really matter.

Not entirely, no! Seem to have sped from 40 to 48 without taking breath and often forget how old I am. Should add that I'm now neurotic about being a self deluding neurotic having put "fairly young at heart" on my profile
The extra self maintenance is a pain, plus was in denial re varifocals for at least a year, before thinking that taking your glasses off and squinting makes you look even older.
Would be a female Peter Pan if I could, but what the hey, it's one of those things you can't change.
Seems ironic that I tried to look older than I was in my teens.

i tend to get a new age every year on the same day,its like a tradition for me, i dont like keeping things for more than a year , i got a 28 year at the mo so will change it to a 29 next august, feel more comfortable if i change the numbers each year

That's quite odd, as most men's profile always quote that they feel and act younger or their friends say they look younger!!!

I'm not comfortable growing older, but I don't hide my true age either!

age is just a number - im having a ball! and im so glad to hear of another person around my age who goes to see new bands just coz they still have an interest in new music - yay! love so much of the music happening now
