Four eggs
sunnyside up,
eight slices of bacon...
one tomato
cut in wedges,
a little salt and pepper,
toast, coffee,
and followed by
fruit ensemble
trimmed with yogurt.

Now that's my breakfast!

"it is only in the pain of letting go
that you experience the joy of return"

good words there doubtful..... yet so hard to do, eh?

just a resolution.....
to drop by and greet
a big hearted soul
that I am blessed to meet
in this world of words
outpourings of mind and heart
those of kindred soul
never to depart.

~~~~~morning hammy...... and all who visit and walk in your world!!~~~~~~~
Aye, ya scallywag,
leavin me stranded on yer ghost ship,
hearin me bones rattle
every time I walks tha deck,
lookin up at ole Jolly Roger,
reminds me more of Hugh Hefner!
Now, if'n I can trade ya me sabre
fer a lady with a rack of ribs,
we could rattle the captains quarters
fer an all nighter,
I'll bury me treasure
later, when I finds me an island
somewhere in the sun.
yonder bounty shore
rimmed with weathered rocks
the night there I will moor
and dinghy to the docks
and with sea legs unsettled
I'll pay tribute to the piers
at the wharf side Keg and Kettle
I will drown in bounteous beers
and there I'll tell my story
of a passage most amazing
through the Straits of Glory
never more hair raising
beating 'gainst a gale
of towering proportion
three reefs in the sail
mast at topmost torsion
Neptune heard my screams
and paid them little heed
crashing o'er my beams
urging me to concede
to Aeolus I said "Fvck you"
have mercy on my spars
abandoned by my crew
dead reckoning by the stars
a tossing turning tub
sheets strained, about to tear
fingers feel like stubs
approaching deep despair
dreading a thunderous jolt
of hull against hidden granite
is there anything more cold
than this unforgiving planet
awash in a sailors dream
and mingled with his tears
echoing his blaspheme
and swallowing his fears
a bone cold shivering dread
oh death I am not ready
but the compass was well read
and ahead of me was the jetty
and beyond that the harbor lights
twinkling with my salvation
now I revel in the delights
of well-deserved libation
so sorry about the Clearwater "bump", Swanny. I spent a fair amount of my time as a youth around that glorious vessel; festivals, work weekends sanding and varnishing, chatting with Pete himself, never did crew on her, but my dad did. The amazing thing is how much cleaner the Hudson is now versus then. Thank-you Mr. Seeger!!!
Hope you get to crew eventually. Glad you liked my write; it was a true story from when I lived aboard in Boston. Plymouth harbor never looked so welcoming as on that chilly night.
this morning
i walked for a while
on lummi mountain
the steep trail
climbing toward
the western cliff
high above
the salish sea.
this morning
the trail was slippery
and the shadows cold
so i sat in the sun
on a nurse log
with loneliness
and love.
words are barely events
mostly they are
passages to deep life.
deep in me
missing bren and lili
i thought for a moment
their absence in my life
helps to show
why there are no leaves today
on scrub alder and vine maple.
but then i heard the wind,
and felt the late winter sun
on my face
and i learned that
in my life
there are always leaves
on the tangled forests inside me.
and i touched my love
and i know
that the sunshine
at my feet is love,
with her, is life
and so i stood
and climbed the trail
toward noon.
on masks of birds
wearing our sandles
of leather and gold
we dance
and we sing
we sing and
we kick and we swirl
with boy spinning girl
and girl spinning boy
for this is the eve
of marty grass
the night before
he becomes an ash
toot toot
boom boom
toot toot
boom boom
she's dresst as a queen
boom boom
with her bosoms
bobbing on air
boom boom
he's dresst as a king
toot toot
with his thighs
toot toot
so naked and throbbing
with muscles, and sweat and hair
boom boom
A Warrior Child, in Man's stance
A glance to rest in a childlike fantasy:
lovely write Hammy, these lines stood out to me. Beautiful capture!
May I never write of love again,
or speaketh therein of romance,
that Queens and Kings
lay sceptres
in the courtyard,
summoning the powers
of the gods of war,
blessed be the gallows tree,
from which shall I swing,
Lo! though betrayal
of black waters
lay in thy blood,
Ne'er again shall
love songs
be thy crown.
Beautiful writes them all!
The four leaf clover...
each leaf a unit of unity,
the four essentials of love
God, family, community, and self!
With these, we are well on our way,
when the world will see a better day,
when gentler times will be re- wound,
truly then will love be found!
To thy hands the torch is passed,
to ensure that future's last,
keep this clover, near your heart,
and know that you, have done your part!
Tiffany had an epiphany
it happened the other day
changed her name to Golda My Ear
already with effect, I'd say
To not be named after a light shade
to not be mistaken for stained glass
to not sound like a pole dancing bimbo
or a debutante of highest class
Tiffany made her nose turn up
Tiffany made her haughty
Tiffany sounded like someone soft
or someone very naughty
So Golda it is and so it will stay
a harder ring to be heard
no more frilly nom de plume
you take her for her word
What's in a name you might ask
while feeling comfortable wearing your own
but if the hat don't fit the head
that it sits upon
then trade it in for something apt
a moniker more in tune
with the song you sing each day
just call me "Buffoon"
son of mine
boy that will be
grow tall and true
one foot in front of the other
Be not dismayed
by the cares of the day
take what is at hand
and do it well
Keep your eyes on the prize
ahead of you
at the foot of every rainbow
awaits your Self
There is no more precious thing on earth
and if you lose sight of it
find it again
know what it is worth
there is more to be done in stillness
more to be said in silence
more to be gained in kindness
more to be won in love
than in all the victory marches
and all the eloquent speeches
in all the bright lights of faraway cities
and in all the windows of wealth
there is no more precous thing on earth than you
and if you lose sight of that
you have no greater duty
than to find yourself again
Oh son of mine
Man that I would be
One foot in front of the other
Grow tall and true
HAMMAAZING, it was not until yesterday that I finally realized that this was your home thread.pYour initial name must have changed through time...Glad I found you because I know this place is just like home if by your words built..:)
Homeward bound
Homeward bound tomorrow night
going back to lands delight
a place where memories take their flight,
a place beyond the sun..
Homeward bound tomorrow night
where once again I'll use my might
to finally find that missing light,
that burned so bright before.
Homeward bound tomorrow night
a place where I am free from spite
a place like this HOME here tonight
where friends are welcomed fun,
a place beyond the sun.....
Cool breeze of wonderment
Transpires my desire to smile
Alive and breathing I find
My heart thus beats together
Life growing strong and tall
Hopeful strangers enter my path
Bringing forth laughter and kindness
Cheer and politeness intertwined
Leading me beyond the setting sun
Beyond the moonlight summer skies
Beyond the pain of unforeseen cries
No longer hidden with my smiles
Today is the greatest day I have ever known
Strong, strong, strong
I continuously roam,
In this place I call
Hello U,
How is ur day going?? I love the weather down here on the great 'gulf coast', where the beaches are white and the ocean green as luck..I got some sunshine in a bag for you!!!!!BT
Did you say "pun" or "punt" friend? lol... and ART is truely the way to go. Create your own picture kinda thing ya know... while still including the big macabre of all that you adore. Def the figure "69" can be romantic/erotic/orgasmic/smil-i-fic considering all the twists and turns of that artful maneuver.
hmmm... still thinking about the polarization thing....
brings to mind a big magnet....
As always... loving your brain
