It is always a good thing to click the sign me up button even if your a maybe. If your thinking about coming, wanting to come but never been before... if there is any chance at all you might be out, it's always a good thing to click that button. It let's us know approximately how many might show up. We try and request enough reserved seating so all our people have a chance to have a seat. And we base that reservation request off of our sign ups and actual attendance. The last 3 FunkyTown events have had between 100 to 145 give or take sign ups and the actual attendance has been around that also. This place does hold 600 max capacity and it is almost always full on the Saturday's we are out there. So make those plans now and hit that sign me up button. The more that sign up actually makes more people come out. And we believe the more the merrier so come on out and join the POF fun .

July August time frame for remodeling and/or repairs. Don't know exactly when to when or how long they'll be closed but it was something I heard but don't know for a fact.

Yes - FUNky Town will be closed down in July (no birthday party for me) & August for major repairs. Gary told us the roof (what? no more buckets when it rains?) & bathrooms will be part of the repairs. We'll just have to start having weekend campouts & make our own FUNky Town event under the stars

I know it's smoking for the next 60 days but what about after that? Does FT fall in KC and under the new ban that is soon to go into effect ? I sure hope so and have my fingers crossed .

Crap... finally get to come to one of these and no smoking...crap again! Maybe the bar owners like the casino's can do something about this! I know not everyone smokes... but I'll be damned if I'm put in the same category as drug dealers!

Just for the record I understand in an eating establishment, Hell I don't smoke there but come on... The taxes I am paying for the right to smoke ought to count for something! If I am around those who can't deal I remove myself....Hell I live with two small baby's
and I go outside so they can breathe so-called fresh air! This is an adult situation I thought! I do really understand x-smokers and I am really conscious of those who don't, so why do I need a law? I know I am on a soap box..... but come on... I don't know one smoker who has been tried and convicted of killing anyone but themselves..... and this don't happen to all... Look at George Burns for instance or my Granny who smoked once a night a little home rolled cigar... the women died of old age......anyways... sorry to all offended, just my look at life!

If your used to going outside and smoking at home then doing it in a public place shouldn't be a big deal. This is the way I see it. A smoker choses to smoke. Your not forced to smoke. So if you want to then you should be the one that has to decided... do I want to go into this or that place because I can't smoke in there. I shouldn't have to decided because a bunch of nicotine addicted people light up. Hell, I know a lot of smokers that can't stand the smell of smoke on themselves. Anytime someone does something that effects the health of other's. Any burden should be put on them not the ones being harmed. Now I haven't even had it confirmed that the ban will effect FunkyTown yet. I am sure it will one way or another. If it doesn't go smoke free then your probably going to see a lot of new smokers from other bars coming to this one so they can smoke. Those who like this place will come out, smoking or not. I'm a non-smoker by the way in case you couldn't tell .

well..i am a non-smoker and i dont have a problem with people smoking in bars...this is america...and i think it should be up to the owner of the establishment....but that would be in a perfect world....lol
