We already know how awesome their track "Teardrop" is, thanks to the show House for using it in the opening. These guys make the best soundtrack/sexytime music.

Ya dig? What are some of your favorites?

Protection. Not their most popular song but my favorite of theres. Black Milk, Inertia Creeps are on the tops of my all time favorites. I can not wait for some new stuff from them.

Angel, Dissolved Girl, Rising Son, I Against I, Future Proof, Everywhen...

great band...

back in the early 90's when the first invasion of Iraq was happening, British airwaves made them change their name to simply "Massive" because of the (lame) "p.c." reactionaries complaints about their name and what was happening in Iraq... *gay*

Anyway.. they're great.. awesome soundtrack stuff...

Can't wait for their new CD!
Almost everything I have heard from them has been a favorite of mine, and I use their music to get into my headspace when I need to be creative.

Check out Jose Gonzalez' version of "Teardrop," it's great. I'm also looking forward to their new release.

I didn't know they did the opening soundtrack for House. I've always liked it, but wasn't aware of who did it. Jeeze, I haven't checked them out in years. I need to hit the music store!

I have to say Mezzanine was an extremely good album, I loved Angel, Risingson, Teardrop and Exchange out of that album.

trip-hop is an amazing genre of music that has inspired musicians across every genre and Massive Attack is one of those groups that just gets under your skin and into your head. Their music has a pulse that brings it to life and an amazing energy.
A good friend and musician once said in an interview that if he could pick one band to do a full sit-down collaboration with it would be Massive Attack.

Horace Andy in Spying Glass is key, both his original version and the Massive Attack version are memorable. Most recently I've liked Mos Def in I Against I, I don't know bad brains too well, but it's a good track for sure. Protection is a classic album and good intro if you don't know this group.

Favorite tune is "Sly" from Protection with Nicolette on vox.
Second might be "A Prayer For England" with Shaniqua O'Connor on the mic.

Little known but smashing remix, "Angel" - Blur remix.
"No Protection" by the Mad Professor is one of my favorite remix albums.
Favorite video - "Live With Me".

Protection is my fav song of theirs.

Fyi, Tracey Thorn (who did the vocals) is also the lead vocalist of Everything But The Girl.

I agree all of Massive Attack is amazing, but I absolutely LOVE their cover of Joy Divsion's 'New Dawn Fades'. Imo, best song ever to you-know-what to.
