What does the VP choice and process tell us about McCain?Page 1 of 1
McCain initially wanted Liebermann as the best choice for VP. Right wing conservatives vowed a fight on the convention floor due to Liebermann's pro choice views. He backed down and then wanted Tom Ridge... again he had to back down because Ridge is pro-choice. So he selected Palin.

Do we want a president who will not stand up to some factions of his party in order to have who he believes to be the best choice for the country?
If he won't stand up to them, what does that say about his decision making going forward?

hey jennyann... i'm not sure how caving into his religious special interest makes him a rebel, a risk taker or a good leader... he didn't stand up for who he felt was the best candidate to run with him and be the best for the country.
