Notice: Forums will be shutdown by June 2019

To focus on better serving our members, we've decided to shut down the POF forums.

While regular posting is now disabled, you can continue to view all threads until the end of June 2019. Event Hosts can still create and promote events while we work on a new and improved event creation service for you.

Thank you!

Remember that we are the largest free online dating service, so you will never have to pay a dime to meet your soulmate.

Nope. It is virtual. I gave one to a friend. We actually do it now as a joke. I do not read into any of it either. When I meet someone in person, that is when I take things serious. It takes a hell of a lot more than a few good e mails and a virtual gift to see what a person is. :)

I dont really like it, I would feel guilty of someone sent a virtual gift that they had to pay for and I had no interest in them.
I don't like it either. It would make me feel guilty too.

Some might say .....it's the thought that counts .............. perhaps but I would much rather have a message of the written word. If they are using the new impress feature or even those points gifts or roses to gain attention rather than messaging and having an intelligent conversation then I don't think it impressive.

I don't hold much for cyber gifts. I read nothing into it.
Like a friend of mine here once said........"I think they are a bunch of muck"
