Support France !!!!!! No trade with a repressive and tyrannical regime, although the tyrannical regime is able to provide financial aid.

the current economic conditions would 'ave nothin to do with it?

This dood from Tibet comes to Australia quite often, visits every toff he can yet australia's trade with china is huge, in fact australia's relationship with china is huge and we trade with taiwan as well.
Maybe if the Chinese dont like the french it goes back to european colonization of Asia and the nasty stuff that went on?

The US Govt' pay's the Dalia Lama's organisation around US$1.7 million annually plus the sum of US$15,000 per month as a separate personal allowance for the use of the Dalai Lama alone

Are you suggesting perhaps that France should not do anything that China disagrees with, because it is selling things to China? If France sells medicines to Zimbabwe to treat the Cholera epidemic, should it do what Mugabe wants? Hmm...

I think Nicholas Sarkozy just doesn't want to be the lap-dog of China, like Blair was to Bush, and Bush was to the American oil companies. For that, I can only applaud his integrity.

This is BS. China never canceled the Airbus order. In fact Airbus is building a single aisle aircraft plant in China.
But it would be extremely stupid for China to cancel the order because of the Dalai Lama, for two reasons.

1. No country likes to be told by another country who they can be friends with. China would be well aware of the ramafications of canceling deals because of a meeting with one of the most popular religious leaders in the world. Every western country would make China suffer for putting their nose in other peoples business.

2. China has the fastest growing comercial aviation market in the world. They need wide body jets. There are only two companies (Airbus and Boeing) who make wide body jets. Now buying a jet is not like buying a car, you do not go to a dealership and pick the one in the colour you like. Instead wide body jets are purchased years before they are delivered. If China were to cancel orders because of some stupid tiff over the Dalai Lama, Airbus and Boeing would never take an order from China again (maybe if China pays on contract signing, not delivery).

So this is nothing but BS propaganda trying to convince the rest of the world that the Dalai Lama is a bad man. Grow up China, the rest of us are disgusted by your cultural revolution.
