What are your first-date dealbreakers? Page 1 of 5    (1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
So what would be a deal breaker for a first date for you????

Personally, some of our dealbreakers from our illustrious dating histories include: talking too much about the ex, and then showing pictures of her AND HER kids, also having pictures older thsn 5 yrs post without letting us know, hey pics are kinda old i look different now.

Diva

I have been single long enough that I could write a book on some of this stuff lol.

All I can say is, there are some strange ones out there. It is what keeps life interesting?

I remember meeting someone one time and asked him to tell me about himself. He proceeded to tell me he owned a large home, drove a couple of expensive cars, had closets full of designer clothes, traveled the world, eats in only the best of resturants, etc. Well, that told me all I needed to know about him. NEXT

Another decided before we met, that he was Famous and Controversial. Course he was the one who had also had been a spy for the CIA.

Then there is the one where we met and he decided I would be a perfect addition to his little group (OMG) I ran out of that one!

Hopefully, Saturday, you will have screened them all lol. Don't want to be kissing anyone who has been probed by little green men!

I had one that is a psychotherapist that "helps" children sent to her by the juvenile court system explain to me:
1- 9/11 was planned and carried out by the CIA;
2- Osama bin Laden is a fictional character created by George Bush so he could give large contracts to his friends to look for this guy that doesn't exist.

She offered to give me web sites that "prove" these claims.

On the TOP of my list would be being rude, demanding or condescending to the waitstaff and servers!

I think that says a LOT about a person.

THEN - there is just the OPPOSITE - and this actually happened.....when my date was just a 'wee bit' lacking in food knowledge! The server asked him if he wanted 'Calimari' and he replied "No, I don't like WINE.....I'll have a BEER"!

MUCH to the server's credit - she didn't bat an eyelash!!!

It would have really been FUNNY ............IF he had been joking!!!

MN, no I did not look at those web sites. As I recall, my response was, but probably not a precise quote, "I think we'll just need to agree to disagree and it's now time for us to go."

It has taken me many years to dig this "rut" in life that I live in and I resist all attempts to force me out of it.

1) hmmm..says he is truly interested in seeing more of me after the first date, however, cannot keep eye contact with me throughout the whole date . I dont care how shy or timid you are, please please eye contact is very important..not just for dating but for other things in life.

2) Mr. Handsome, looks into your eyes and tells you everything you want to hear and how great you look...while every 5 seconds he looks away to look at the other ladies walking by. Yeap he is very interested, interested in the female anatomy....haha

I'd say hmm...here's my list of what I can think of off the top,I've never really been on a bad date.

1.Tardiness for no apparent reason
2 Rude to wait staff
3.Ex bashing to the point where I already know his name and his background
4.Mispronounces words and uses them incorrectly (speak with what cha know)
5.She hasn't read a book or had a book of interest on her to read list in the past month(yea I'm an lit snob and I'm ok with that)
6.She speaks of general music and she can't even give me titles to tracks
7.She is a top 40 diva(can't stand top 40ies fluff)
and the number one deal breaker is
8.She cry's on the first date...I've heard of it happening(How the hell do you console someone who you just met)
I know I know I know my list needs to be revised
