What about a "Money Bunny"? Would this be a gal who chases after bankers? Or is that a "Gold Digger"?

Well another term for a buckle bunny is a buckle polisher. Typically women that follow or chase rodeo/cowboy types. They also sometimes try to claim the belt buckle as a "trophy" to prove their status of bunny-hood. There is a status/game to it w/ prizes and levels of accomplishments. Can also describe a GF that wears a buckle her BF won, in rodeo circuits buckles are prizes like trophies.

OI! I do need to think about limiting my amount of obscure knowledge!

But I guess all the bimbo slang owes Hugh Hefner a debt of gratitude for introducing "bunny" as a new way to decribe a certain type of woman, at least its not as derogatory as some of the previous terms used.

I wonder if the Amish have buckles on their shoes??

Maybe "Buckle Bunny" is someone with an Amish fetish?

BTW, Lot Lizards and "Commercials" are the prostitutes of the trucking world.
I would more quickly associate them with roadkill than trucker bunnies.

Actually, the hotties sittin shotgun in them "Big Rigs" are affectionately referred to as "seat covers."

Are these terms meant to be derogatory?

Umm yea actually, much like groupie, follower, etc. After all historically we have a military officer in the Civil War to thank for the term "hooker". From a group of unmarried women that followed his troops(doing odd jobs and favors) around known as "Hooker's Women". Later it was shortened to "hookers".

There is nothing wrong w/ having a particular "type". But when a person(male or female) only will have relations w/ that type they enter Bunnyhood.

Some other terms:
Snow Bunny- likes men who provide choice "snow" or cocaine.
Badge Bunny-previously mentioned, only chases cops(some special in certain types of cops-i.e. state troopers, locals, security guards-others just need a stinking badge).
Ski Bunny-only chases skiers.
Buckle Bunny-this thread.
Booze Bunny-likes to be drunk and be w/ drunks.
Chocolate Bunny-only chases stereotypical(as per MTV, etc.) men of color.

Cleat chasers---go after baseball players. That's what we called them at least when they came to all of our games lol. I had no complaints.

a BUCKLE BUNNY is:
A buckle bunny is a sort of rodeo groupie, a woman who seeks out rodeo performers who excel in competition. Like groupies who follow other sports and musical groups, buckle bunnies are rather famous for dressing and behaving in sexually suggestive ways.

I spent ten years as a cop in the 80s and early 90s and never heard the term. We always just called them groupies.

Thanks psssst! I never heard the term before. I thought maybe it had to do with cowboys since this guy seemed to be a cowboy

"SEEMED" to be a cowboy?

as in was an actual cowboy (not many of those left)

or one of the greater number of urban/suburban geeks who works in accounting or IT and feels "manly" by wearing cowboy boots, jeans, string ties/boleros & a Stetson? :)

many more of those, also the office/white-collar geeks who think they are "almost" military because they bought a Hummer, so can swagger and act like a bad-azz stud..lol

^^

is that similar to the rule of thumb of over-compensation.."huge/expensive truck/car= micro-penis (or ED problems)" ?

I'm convinced most male Hummer owners/drivers are trying to compensate for SOMETHING lacking..lol -at least the ones who are not ACTUALLY in the military & assigned that vehicle.

Flick, anyone who had to spend any amount of combat time in a Hummer loathe the things. The civilian models are just silly.

This post amused me on so many levels... a friend of mine who grew up on a west TX ranch rode bulls in a lot of rodeos in his younger days, and won his share of buckles. He still rides cutting/roping horses - no longer in competition, he's a bit older than me. And he was the manager of the IT department where we both worked. As for that 'cowboy uniform'- you've described my late husband to a tee, though he hadn't ridden for a lot of years before we met. Oh, he didn't wear the boots when he was working on the deck of a fishing boat, either.

And the Hummer, lordy, if I could still see well enough to drive and had the $$, I'd have one myself. I am so not the military type, though... I just like them.

@ Bladesmith 8101:

good point..big, clumsy, ugly, crappy to drive, fuel hogs..hard to park in many places.. much longer, wider & taller than most 'standard' vehicles..huge drive shaft tunnel between front seats.

the only selling point it seems, is they are "BIG" - to make up for a lack of size elsewhere in many cases .

"LDS" isn't just for Mormons any more .." Little D1ck Syndrome" ;)

oh yes then there are also the pencil-neck white-collar office workers often middle-aged and quite overweight who get a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and think they are bad-azz, wannabe Hell's Angels..think it instantly transforms them into tough guys ...lol ..give you the death stare/glare if you venture within 100 feet of them.

Badge Bunnies must have their standards though, cuz even though my coworkers carry guns, as armed guards, most can't get a date to save their lives. I thought those who chased cops were diff fro the ones who chased firefighters. I would have gone for Bacon Bunny for cop chasers.

I don't know about your area, but when I was with Orange County SO, there were badge bunnies that would have done it with a Boy Scout for the uniform. Security guards in Riverside/Orange counties always had more bunnies than they could use. Although the LPAs (Loss Prevention Agents, no uniform, weapon in shoulder holster) that worked for the big department stores scored as much as we did.

I wonder if the bunnies who didn't snag a man to settle down with became lot lizards, in other words, lot lizards are has-been bunnies?

When I worked briefly with the county mental health dept all of our male clients had worked as security guards. And I mean seriously mentally ill people.

even Paul Blart, Mall Cop would get action from these groupies?

they must have been a bit down -scale from the groupies that worked the major rock concerts & sporting events, though?

what about the Maytag repairman or Sears guys? Would they get bunnies dropping to their knees in front of them??

maybe NOT the "loneliest guy in town"? Only he knows for sure.. ;)

I'm sure INS/Border Patrol guys could get sucked lots .."no.. I won't deport you dear, just do me this little favor...*ziiiiip* "..

how about the Thousands Standing Around (TSA) guys? wave their "magic wand" & get action..?

almost seems like guys that get a cop/firefighter costume for Halloween might get groupies wanting to suck their thang.. (or actors doing hte local Little Theater thing with uniforms on for the role.)
