I am feeling this season the top teams in the league have secured their dominance I think it would be hard for anyone to argue against this but i think that the top 5 teams in the league are without a doubt the Las Angeleas Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, Orlando Magic, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Boston Celtics

I think order wise i would have to say (even though i dislike them) that i think the lakers have the higher advantage followed by Boston and than the other 3 i think are a toss up. Personally I think that whoever wins next season will be from one of the 5 teams mentioned. Since no other teams in the West or East will be able to compete as well as the 5.

I find it surprising that you dont think that Shaq will help them enough
many of the guys i have talked to have said the same thing and I dont get it....shaq qives them something that they didnt have last season and thats a low post presence

and the 2 new players that they got this year(i cant remember their names)

but I would definately give the Cavs spot 2 in the East

i dont really agree with the hornets idea...i dont see them being much of a competition in the west...i would agree the lakers kinda look unbeatable in the west...but i would watch out though if the spurs are healthy...they could give the Las Angelas a run for their money...

if anything i would think that kobey would want to out shine MJ...which i dont think will happen

I'm not going to forget pheonix in the west, there off to a good start. Theres something wrong with Tim Duncan right now, if he doesn't get healthy the spurs dont make the playoffs for the first time in timmy's career. Meanwhile Dwayne Wade and the Heat should have the best record of the florida teams at playoff time. As surprised as I am about this I think Turkoglu was the Glu holding the Magic together for their playoff run. How about the choke job by the Mavericks against the Hornets,to their defense dirk was fouled out, but missing three free throws in a row with 10 seconds left in the game and your up by three points DANG. I like CP3 and the hornets but they really should only have one win so far this season.

I think if George Karl didn't go out at the end of the season(and replace Blazers with Suns and Bulls with Hawks), my predictions would've been a little more accurate.

That ranting statement by the Cavs owner was priceless! He sounds just liked a spoiled 10-year old. And I especially love the guarantee about the Caveliers winning a title before LeBron. Good luck with that...

I just saw on ESPN that Ilgauskas is heading for Miami with LeBron. Since he was with the Cavs for twice as long as LeBron, and took a pay cut to come back this past season, I wonder what the Cavs owner will have to say about HIS disloyalty?

he shouldn't have pulled Chicago's and New York's chains or anyone else's, do you really think he was negotiating?

Nothing to negotiate, a max contract is a max contract.

I believe that New Yorkers deluded themselves into believing they ever had a chance, because after all NYC is the center of the universe and of course everyone would want to play there, lol. They haven't had a winning season in 9 years and were coming off a 12-70 one, also losing their best player (Lee) to free agency. Why the h*ll would LeBron want to go into that?

Chicago had a better case because they have a good young team and they picked up Boozer. But playing for the Bulls means playing in the shadow of Jordan...and I don't think James wanted to deal with those expectations.

Ultimately I believe James when he says it's about championships, and as proof I offer the fact that he left $30 MILLION behind in Cleveland to play with two more stars in Miami. The fact that Florida has no state income tax was, I'm sure, purely coincidental in the decision.

Could James have done it better? Yeah, probably. But I'll bet the kids at the Boys and Girls Clubs he raised $2.5 million for aren't complaining about it. I'm in no way a James fan, but that raised him up a few points in my eyes. Don't like it? Blame ESPN, they're the ones who whored themselves out to him.
