Who honestly cares?
If he cheated...then it's a private matter...concerning his family.
I'm sorry...did they solve that whole cancer thing?
Is that why this is "news?"

But why did she take a golf club to his back window?

I've heard she kind of falls off onto her back foot and pushes everything off.

Hey... maybe we'll get a break from Jon and Kate for a couple of weeks.

IF Tiger cheated on his wife then he deserves to get the crap kicked out of him. Cheating on your husband/wife can always be avaoided.

So what are your thoughts ...
I say if Tiger cheated on his wife, then that's between him and her and basically none of our business.

Who cares?

I have to admit to being intrigued, not that I really "care". She busted out BOTH back windows trying to save him, rather than call 911? Cool--she's the dumbest hero, EVER! The entire thing would be pretty much over if he weren't trying to make it sucha "private matter". I think the reason he can't just come out and say what happened is because he was legally culpable--meaning, could be charged with an actual crime rather than just for the accident. Becuase one doesn't just "go unconscious" whiel driving at 2 am. HEY!! Maybe he has that weird sleep thing, where you are asleep but walking around doing stuff.

Its not that we really care tbh. But some of us are simply interested.

Your laws and the policing of the public are so different to here in England.

For example - It has been widely reported that Tiger is snubbing all attempts at
contact by the police. That would never be allowed here. He would be intervewed at a local police station, as anyone else would be. Of course he would be allowed legal representation to accompany him / advise him. This would have happend the same day / evening as the incident. What if he was drunk at the wheel ?

Am a big golf fan and Tiger is the best. But I wanted to add a bit to the subject.

As long as no one else was hurt and he pays for any damage that was done ... why the hell would anyone care if he talks to the police or not?

If it's a personal matter between him and his wife ... it's none of our business.

I suppose if people are going to lose money on bets they may have placed on him in his next round ... they might be concerned, but I really don't see the big deal in all of this.

If my neighbor across the street did the same thing ... no one would care. Why turn such things into "freak show sensations"?

I think part of the point is that your neighbor would not be ALLOWED to not give a statement. His social status gives him privilege in society that we common people don't get. Although, from what I read, since no other vehicle was involved, it is not required by law that he make an official statement to the popo; he DID hand over his license and registration, etc, to the police, which IS required.

You can tell he's from a really wealthy neighborhood, too--even the guy who called 911 has hired an attorney as a mouthpiece!

BTW--this is no longer front page news here--not even the front page of the sports section. It has already "blown over".

Because the emergency services were called - thats why the police have to follow up.
This makes it no longer a personal matter between only himself and his wife.

No spokesperson would have got him out of a police grilling here.

Good, then he did what was required and owes no explanation.

Might be a law in some other country, but I'm thinking it's not necessarily so here.

While taking care of my parents, I often had to call the "emergency services" ... they showed up, took care of what I needed them to do and NO police ever had to follow up.

Believe me, if the police felt that they truly needed to follow up ... he would not be able to get out of it. They would have nailed him at the Emergency Room.

That's why it's apparent to me that the police really do not need to grill him. If you ask me, they're making a big deal out of nothing.

What happened there is none of our business and the only thing I see happening in here is the same thing that goes on when driving down the road and they are in the process of cleaning up after an accident. People just can't seem to get enough of eyeballing the accident ... sometimes to the point of causing another one. I've never understood why people get such a kick out eyeballing others' misfortune. Best is ... eyes straight ahead and get through the mess as safely as possible.

It's none of our business and as long as no one was hurt I think we need to get out of their business ... and get on with ours.

Here's an idea ... instead, let's teach our military that it's inappropriate to call host countries' indigenous people demeaning despicable names. That would be more important to me than if Tiger was getting his jollies with someone other than his wife.

My theory? Tiger was the victim of an alien abduction. His clone didn't know how to drive, crashed, got angry, and took out what looked like a club and started trying to wreck the car.

I'm sure there's a number of people who wish the person who cheated on them got to be humiliated publicly and tormented and hounded by media and made to feel like the scum of the earth as well. :)And he should feel that way too.

YAY!!!!

Tiger is an asshat. Beautiful wife, beautiful family, stupid fccking chud with no
respect for his wife or his relationship with her.
cheating with barflies. Whats next Tiger, Walmart?

Im so dissapointed in him. I thought he had some kind of moral code but
obviously he follows the herd like so many others.

oh well.

No I dont really care but its all over the news. Its kind of hard to ignore
whether you care or not.

If you put things in perspective....Tiger is obscenely overpaid and considered a "hero" for hitting a small ball, whether it be several hundred feet or a small distance with a specially made stick. That's all.

And...when some guys get famous (regardless of profession), they think that they can do anything they want and at anytime and with whom. Basically, its between him and his wife.

Who cares. The guy cheated on his wife that's no ones business outside of him, his wife and the 2 other women that he slept with. Jesus, the media is acting like he killed those women instead, the way they are covering it.

Post #58^^^^^^^^^^OH PLEASE!!! That's like claiming Wide Stance Craig (Larry Craig, Republican, Idaho) isn't gay, has never been gay and was simply using the potty rather than soliciting sex with an undercover agent in an airport bathroom. I don't think his political affiliation has a thing to do with his sexual orientation, no matter how in the closet he thinks he is.

~OT~ For some reason people forget that athletes are just people. He may have been cheating, he may have serious personal issues, he might be a LOT of thing, but he's still just human. My ex cheated. The media could have cared less. And NO, I don't buy into that whole "role model" thing simply because our role models and/or our children's role models really should be those teachers who teach them to read, those who volunteer time after a natural disaster, those who spend free time adding to the community rather than depleting it, etc., rather than some athletically inclined individual who happened to make ESPN on a regular basis. Cheating is wrong no matter who's sticking their who-who into someone other than their spouse's who-ha. If he was cheating? He'll lose a LOT more than he gained. That's on him. JMO

I have to say this thread is more responsible than the media. Each one of us could of simply been in that position. I would have to say the wife caught her husband up to no good and did what any good women would do....beat the shit out of him or try. Tiger being a stand up guy ran (never hit a women). The neighbor being a good friend said come get them before some one gets hurt. The movie will be out christmas.

It's all about image.
All the press is talking about is how will Tiger's image suffer ?
Will he lose his corporate endorsements ?

OK, so he might lose Nike..... but he can always pick up Trojans !

And, every golfer on the circuit is happy. Tiger's made golf sexy.
Arnold Palmer and Jack Nickolas can now endorse..... Viagra !

Elin can get her own product endorsement contract now.

In Golf Digest, you'll see a picture of Tiger swinging a golf club.
Then, a few pages over you'll see a picture of her swinging a golf club like a baseball bat !

From Gerald Posners article in the Daily Beast.

The Daily Beast's Gerald Posner has learned exclusively that the beleaguered golfer is negotiating an immediate $5 million payout to his wifeā€”and revising her prenup to give her as much as $55 million more to stay with him two more years.

It's not about love, fidelity, and marriage.
Now, it's about re-negotiating the contract.
That's how it's done in the big leagues.

Being lied to and decieved by the one you love in this case led to raw emotion. We as people have to stop playing with each other emotions. She had to have a clue because if this was the first time he would of never tried to leave. He would of lied. she had enough and did what she felt she had to do. If any man found his with sexting on a night she didn't want to get loose with him. I cant even imagine what one of us would do. But the last thing on our minds would be is this legal.

Basically, its between him and his wife [/quote

it probably got more attention than normal, perhaps,

because Woods HELD HIMSELF up as a "perfect" Role model.

he spouted his B.S. "values" crap as often as he good..

better for getting multi-million $$ endorsement deals..

he was 'caring, virtuous, 'christian', etc.

most people (if they are like me) really hate phony hypocrites...

People really need to let go of the false notion that human beings are monogamous. Then this type of thing wouldn't be such a big news story.
