I think that friendship is and excellent starting ground for a relationship, and it sounds like you and this woman have achieved that.

I would take it a step further and see where it goes. You may end up with a wonderful relationship with someone who means a lot to you.

Best of luck!

OP- do you think she's hot? do you want to shag her?

if you answer yes to both of those, then go for it.

don't worry about how she feels if you ask her out.

just ask her out.

Who suggested going snowboarding or playing hockey?

Maybe try not make it sound like a date. Just ask her if she'd like to have dinner with you, go to a movie, or whatever the same way one of you suggested snowboarding. Then take things from there. I agree being asked to join Thanksgiving with family was something special on her part. If she already had someone else she would have asked him instead.

playing hockey

Is she a Leafs fan? If either of you are, you should not breed. If she's a Sens fan, go for it.

Ask her out. You already dated a bit....why not suggest seeing if it goes anywhere further. Worst case scenario she laughs it off if you've known each other that long. It might be awkward if she says no, but not a friendship killer.

Well, if you do getting to know her better don't forget that you knew her way back when abd now, she's who she is. This simply means that of course you can date her but just be warned that you just might notice things about her that you had never notice before and if you do and they don't jive with you well, that's YOUR fault for taking the chance.
