Being over 45, a lot more men are bald/balding. Does that change women's views on dating a bald guy? Maybe you would now, even though you wouldn't before?

Just wondering if the ladies' perspective has changed, or if it is a non-factor. Non-factor as long as it isn't a comb over!!! lol

Well so be it. Men don't like flabby boobs, women don't like bald men. Thats the way it goes.
Thats also why we have breast doctors, and hair club doctors.

Luckily for both genders with these issues , attraction is often counter-intuitive.

Its a long shot, but if she can still attract a man with a head full of hair, thats where she is going to go.

No. Women's perspective on this is not going to change. She may have to settle for second best, as men do, but generally, the head full of hair, makes the man appear more virile than the balding or bald man.

^^^^Beg to differ. I often do w/ your posts, but specially this one...

OP....I've dated men at all stages of the hair spectrum, from totally bald/shaved to hair down the back and never felt there was any settling involved ~ nor was the guy's virility in question (in fact, I seem to recall rumors floating around among my friends that high testosterone levels had something to do w/ baldness!!!!).

That is not to say there aren't women for whom a full head of hair is a preference...but then so are a million other factors. However, if women over 40 are dead set on not dating balding men.....hmmm, their pool is going to be pretty small.

Comb-over however....yuck!

Well, I'll be the first to admit that hair is nice. However, I tend to live in reality, and hair is a bonus for most over-45 men. I much prefer bald to a bad rug, hair plugs or a bad comb-over.

If I could ever meet a nice, normal guy who lives in reality also, his lack of hair would be a non-issue for me.

As long as it's very short it's fine. Those of us who are attracted to people our own age are not unattracted to bald/ing guys. Off-topic sort of. There's an old guy where I live-at least late 70's really elderly looking, all bent over and everything. And he has this full thick shiny head of brown hair worn in the old Hugh Grant long side part style. It's real, I've checked it out and seen how it grows from his head and oddly enough it's unattractive. It's freakish looking.

how about ... Vin Diesel ... ??? HE'S got it going on!

the bald guy in "Harry Potter" is Tom Riddle ... aka Voldemort ... aka the Dark Lord ... doubt ANYONE besides a snake would find HIM attractive ... but it's more because he's pure evil!!! well ... having no nose is fairly unattractive, too ...

have a tall friend with curly strawberry blonde hair ... women found him attractive ... then he decided to shave off the curls ... women were falling over each other to get his attention ... I think a lot of women love the bald look ...

personally, I kinda liked the curls ... he had a Gregory Walcot sort of look! maybe even George Kennedy!!! (bad guys in the Clint Eastwood movies!)



P.S. comb-overs are just plain gross ... even if you're a multi-billionaire ...

I think bald men can be very sexy. But they need to be physically fit. An athletic bald guy can looks very masculine. A overweight bald guy looks just old.

Just look at the examples mentioned above. Those are not the Jason Alexander types.

Ahhh, the skullet!! When will those balding on top realize it's not attractive to try to go mullet ??

~OT~ I'm not opposed to balding but definitely prefer bald. I am opposed to swoops, comb-overs, plugs and other camo efforts. Like has been stated ~ balding looks better just bald. Shaving is our friend.
