Notice: Forums will be shutdown by June 2019

To focus on better serving our members, we've decided to shut down the POF forums.

While regular posting is now disabled, you can continue to view all threads until the end of June 2019. Event Hosts can still create and promote events while we work on a new and improved event creation service for you.

Thank you!

I received a message from a fellow who said "hey your pretty cool; my name is..."

I gotta admit that it was pretty lame, but it was sent to you and not me. What do you think? Didja look at his profile? Does it (the profile) spark an interest?

Agreed, cut and paste job. He's casting lots of lines and seeing what nibbles. But like others have said, if you're interested, message him back, if you're not, don't.

i was never at a loss in an email exchange. in person, yes, it happened, but not in email, where absolutely nothing is at stake. if i couldn't think of anything to write, it meant she wasn't interesting enough to warrant further communication.
