my proposal to america, feel free to add. i left 600 bil to play withPage 1 of 7    (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)
cost of war since 2001, 1.3 billion
federal corporate bailout 1.2 trillion.
estimated unemployed americans as of jan 2012 12.8 million.
average salary of police officer, 40 thousand
average salary of teacher, 40 thousand
average salary of construction/labor 30 thousand.
average cost of an associates degree, 20 thousand.
cost to re educate 12.8 million. 256 billion. (leftover 1.1 trillion) lets round up for the sake of math and say 13 million educated americans who can fill just 3 very important just for shits and simplifying the point. we now have 4.3 million new teachers, 4.3 million new laborers, and 4.3 million new police officers.
4.3million cops making 40k=172billion(leftover roughly 900billion)
4.3million teachers making 40k=172billion. (lefotver 730 billion)
4.3million construction workers, laborers etc making 30k=129billion(leftover600bil)

that leaves 600 billion in materials for new schools, churches, police stations, homes, infastructure repair, etc etc etc anything productive and beneficial to americans as a whole. now im no economic genius. nor am i a politician. but im an american with common sense. and i feel that our money could go to much better things than war and wallstreet. i left 600 billion for you to play with, what would u do with it. **** obama, **** bush, **** ron paul, **** mit romeny, **** rick santorum. we dont need these people to lead us. we can lead ourselves with a bit of common sense. no more war, no more poverty, no more. this isnt cut and pasted, i wrote this in the time it took me to drink a coffee and smoke a cig. wake the **** up people

the "mentality" you speak of is "reality"....
but only someone with actual common sense can see that and not try to beat a dead horse to be something its not.
Corruption goes far beyond politics........ goes to everyday life and the mindset of people, like yourself, who is going to say your divorced even when your not.
It's people like YOU and those lies, in which make the world what it is.

You want to work on fixing the nation, start with yourself. You will have much better luck in trying to control yourself and bad chices rather than fix the rest of the world and its people. When you can claim HONESTY in YOUR choices, maybe you can talk.

I just saw you posted your going to start to lie about the fact your still married. Geeesh, not exactly someone who should talk about how the world should be.

No leader? All of us as chiefs? Whoa baby that would indeed be something to behold. Possible not if there are humans involved, just go to your next HOA meeting for a glimpse on how that would look.

[ quote] anything productive and beneficial to americans as a whole.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
oh yeah right, as a whole. My gosh maybe you better drink your coffee and smoke your cigs and give it 20 minutes until your brain wakes up.
and who is going to get to decide this?
popular vote?
will there be an error in chads?
I take it you have never been to a city counsel meeting or tried to protest your ever increasing property taxes !
far as I know someone decided to reform the health care system recently... mine went up 4x out of pocket. Gosh how I'm loving it to pay for everyone now. Someone decided it was beneficial to americans as a whole, for the govt to get into this.
LOVELY !!! not !
no paul, im living in the world that your generation left behind for me and i have to look out for it long after u die of diabetes or heart failure. i know its easy for you not to care because your content living the bullshit life youve carved out for yourself.
i didnt say no leaders, we need leaders. but not them, and certainly not anyone in any kind of high office. and cow....open your eyes....if someone with common sense had decided a healthcare system for america as a whole. you'd be paying less. have you ever compared the cost of american healthcare to any other country? were double if not triple the cost from anywhere. look....i know alot of you guys get ur facts from fox and cnn...but if YOU took YOUR head outta the sand. then youd realise youve been duped. and the solution is pretty easy. btw i took my head outta the sand when i was discharged in 06 as a combat vet thanks very much.
and yes, have you looked at any statistics as to how many people actually vote in this country? go ahead and take the time to look up population vs voting population. cmon now....if your gonna argue here present me with something valid. offer a solution or anything.
Or you could let the Tea party have it their way.
An Open Letter to the Tea Party and American Conservatives
Imagine, if you will, a country where there is:
No Obamacare
No Obama
The Fair Tax is the law of the land
The Income Tax code is simple and the forms are easy to fill out
The IRS is as toothless as a plate of Jello
There is a complete Laissez Faire free market
No Labor Unions
No Government involvement in Business, Health Care, Labor matters or pretty much anything else except national security.
Do you like what you see? If you do, then maybe you should leave the Socialist USA and head to the Tea Party Heaven – Communist China.
No Obamacare
Yep – no Government mandated or sponsored health insurance here in China. In fact, the health insurance industry itself is pretty useless. In China, when you need health care you go to the hospital. A doctor checks you out, gives you a list of medicines, supplies and procedures you will need and you take that list to the hospital cashier. There you simply hand over cash – to pre-pay for all your medical expense. No such thing as an “assignment of Benefits” here. You pay for it all – up front. You then take the receipt back to the doctor who then actually treats you. If you admitted to the hospital you repeat this process the next day, and every day until you are discharged. If you don’t have the cash, you don’t get health care – it’s that simple. If you die, you die. Your next of kin will have to pay your medical bills if they want your body though.
No Obama
He’s not President here.
The Fair Tax is the law of the land
The Chinese Government’s principal source of revenue is the Value Added Tax – or the “Fair Tax” as it is called in the USA. It is a National Sales Tax that is added to the price of goods as they are manufactured.. You don’t see it, you don’t even see it – it is part of the retail price you pay. After all, we only protest about taxes we see – Income Taxes, Property Taxes, Retail Sales Taxes, Payroll Taxes. If it’s simply a part of the price of what we are buying we don’t see it – but we pay it anyway.
The Income Tax code is simple and the forms are easy to fill out
The Chinese income tax is so simple there ARE no forms to fill out. Wages are paid monthly and taxes are assessed on your monthly wages and are withheld by your employer. No deductions, no credits, no exclusions, no carry-forwards, no recordkeeping. No forms to fill out – ever.
The IRS is as toothless as a plate of Jello
I asked a Chinese CPA about the tax costs of operating a business in China. He asked me how much tax I wanted to pay. I answered “none”. He said “OK, done.” I asked if the government ever audited a company’s books to see if they are paying the correct amount of tax. He asked me “what’s an audit?”
There is a complete Laissez Faire free market
No price controls here. Very few laws regulate business or the market.
No Labor Unions
You read right – in the Worker’s Socialist Paradise there are no labor unions, because Chinese workers never had it so good. They have a minimum wage law, but no Workers Compensation Laws, no Unemployment tax or Unemployment benefits. There is a Social Security tax but (see the toothless IRS section) contributing to it is voluntary and unenforced, so it is seldom done.
No Government involvement in Business, Health Care, Labor matters or pretty much anything else except national security.
These stories you heard about how the Government runs every facet of your life in China are pure fiction. The government has little to do with people’s everyday lives, and there is only interaction with the government during some extraordinary event, like a birth, death, marriage, move from one place to another, or ask for some government benefit like a passport – but that is no different than the USA, isn’t it? As far as labor matters are concerned, once again, the government doesn’t get involved. What you and your employer agree to is fine. If the boss decides not to pay you one month, your options are quit, sue him (and lose your job) or suck it up and hope you get paid next month. No Department of labor to run to like in the USA.
So, my Conservative, Libertarian and Tea Bag friends – the next time you want to complain about the Socialism of the USA just remember – you are free to leave and you will find Communist China much more to your philosophical liking.
^certain aspects of socialism are great. Utopian socialism specifically. My thinking isnt so black and white things can be reviewed case by case and decided on in true democratic fashion. by vote OF the people FOR the people not for some senator whos head is clouded by lobbyists and personal dreams of wealth and power. i mean farmer john says, this guys ok and he needs 50 bucks to give his kid some medicine, thats where my taxes are going.
look guys my basic point is this....we spend far to much of our money on BULLSHIT when theres way way way more important issues. everyone has their own ideas on where the money should go and chances are most of your ideas are pretty valid. right now in our current state.....we have no say in our governments spending of money. if you think you do your sadly mistaken. if youve ever been in the military you know the paygrades suck. my proposal could leave 200 billion for defense of the nation...not offense. that'd allow for about 14 million soldiers to earn 40k a year. much more than most do now. and a much larger force than we currently posses
Ahhhhhhhhhhh The remnants of another Upset Citizen And you're here to change all that... aren't you? What have you done to change the outcome? I will tell you..... NOTHING.
If you are upset with your country of birth, renounce your citizenship and relocate, try relocating to a third world country with a lot of sunshine, or better yet Greece, they are looking for Americans to come in, mind you there wont be any jobs, unless you are a entrepreneur .
While you have the right to be upset, you dont have to right to b1tch and not do anything about it, Talk is cheap and money buys the whiskey, you want to do something, become a entrepreneur and do what the American dream was supposed to do, make you wealthy, and then you can be the instrument of change.
Relying on the government for change is like asking A turkey to fly, they may have wings but cant fly, its useless like croutons on a salad.
My proposal to America is , stop listening to useless politicians, for some of you creative entrepreneurs.. start business, prosper, embrace capitalism, become wealthy, create jobs, cash flow , economic freedom and then help cut the government and the waste and useless individuals running congress, because right now you have 12 men 9 women and a dog running congress, mind you in Canada we have 4 men and 2 women and 2 dogs running parliament.
So you are saying the USA is not embracing capitalism?
You know that the big companies in the USA have never had it so good and yet that wealth is not trickling down, it is rolling up.
No I'm saying most are not embracing capitalism, most are content on getting a job, benefits, a pension, a roof over their heads, A flat screen TV to watch Monday night football, American Idol or other reality shows.
Most lives paycheque to paycheque has more month than money and wants to blame everyone else for their misfortunes.
Do I blame the corporations for doing what they are doing NO, they are following the letter of the law to a degree, thanks to stupid politicians and the equally dumb regulations they set forth.
IMO,Most of these folks believes its their " right" to share into the American Pie because they were born in America or the Canadian Pie because they were born here, you have certain rights yes, but you have to right to pursue your dream, the difference is some takes the calculated risk and others or most dont.
Abundance and prosperity belongs to each and every one of us, the problem is most people cannot accept that and they live their lives in denial and self deprivation , People like me dont subscribe to that theory that is why we prosper.
In response to your last statement about wealth not trickling down, well that was my point.
I followed the link you cited.............. It is not that bad living in China on AMERICAN MONEY. I can gaurantee you without even asking him, that the person that wrote that is NOT a $1.50/day chinese factory worker................... so all of the "facts" he spouts do not apply to him.
I do not think he implied anywhere it was bad, and in fact he was doing write well, because of all the stuff he was able to do, based on the laws. I think you have missed his point, which was things are very good over there if you subscribe to those principals.
As far as chinese labor unions go......... guess what, that is the next big problem that they will have, because people are trying to organize labor unions there, but are being quashed by the govt.......... How's that for irony....................
Do you mean ironic in the way that some people in the US would like to be able to treat their workers the same way?
Or that the Chinese people who work in factories 51 weeks of the year, with one week off, who live in dormitories that is they are over a few stories high have nets to catch the ones that try and kill themselves are finally waking up to the fact that is not how you should treat a fellow human being?
No, you won't find any information on that, as ALL communication is controlled by the govt. The only way you will find that out is if you were to talk to someone while they were here, as they certainly wouldn't say that over there for fear of being overheard and shot.
So you are saying you have been there?
Yep, its a paradise alright..............
I guess that depends on what side of the fence you are sitting on.
If you are the guys with the power and you are able to pretty much clean the slate of the rules it will be paradise, but if you are part of the 99%, not so much. As proven by the system currently in use in China and one that is very close to some of the things being proposed by Tea Party folk.
Do you see the irony in that?
You left out that only select few will get the opportunity to take that chance and it is not a matter of will or desire.
Abundance and prosperity belongs to each and every one of us, the problem is most people cannot accept that and they live their lives in denial and self deprivation , People like me dont subscribe to that theory that is why we prosper.
Your post implied it yes.
I am serious and when you say thing like this:
Do I blame the corporations for doing what they are doing NO, they are following the letter of the law to a degree, thanks to stupid politicians and the equally dumb regulations they set forth.
I do not think you fully understand.
Those laws that corporations are following are ones that they wrote themselves.
They pay think tanks to draft laws that give them advantages in their industry and then the lobbyist takes that to their buddy in government and bingo new law.
I will take the chance that you like Beer.
If so you can not only learn something but be entertained.
Go Watch: Beer Wars (2009)
A contemporary David and Goliath story that takes you inside the cutthroat world of the big business of American beer.
You will get a small taste of how big business operates by following the letter if the law.
this is the problem with discussing politics, we all have our own oppinions. and most become wayyyyyyyyy to focused on ones goals and ideals. what we need to do is come to some form of comrpomise and happy medium. and i assure you....were nowhere near a happy medium or a fair advantage to all citizens of this country.
if a family comes to america today to earn money and bring it back to their family we scream get outta mah cunnnntryyy yer takin mah jaaabs. yet its perfectly acceptable for yours to have done the same in the 60's.
i dont believe in communism, capitolism, democracy, socialism...etc etc so on and so fourth. all those are just titles. why does it matter what we call our government. the anger and outrage should be focused on not one another but the ones who have divided and taken advantage of us normal hard working and loving people. we all at the end of the day want the same thing. to provide for our families and see a bright future. united we stand or divided we fall, and divided we are. all i want to do is make sure our tax dollars are being spent on important things. i dont necessarily think we need to hire 4 million teachers. it was an example of the great and beneficial things we could do as a nation. rather than bleed out and wait for china to invade.
And no I dont like beer, and I know how businesses operate.
Then why did you post that corporations are not the problem because they are juts doing what the law says.
That proves you have no idea how state to state or province to province rules are put in place, how bureaucracy is put in place to make it so complicated to do business that you need a team of lawyers just to keep up.
The corporations are running the show, failure to understand that is a failure to understand.
