Are we living on borrowed time?Page 1 of 1
With the student loan debt alone far surpassing the amount of money in circulation and all the mortgages and credit card debt how long can we keep the leveraging going before the whole system collapses? With everyone In the west borrowing to live beyond there means. How long can we keep printing debt before we are unable to pay the interest on the debt that is printed out of thin air and loaned with interest. Can the west handle going back to living within their means? How long can we keep borrowing from the future before we are unable to make the interest payments? In my mind we are already past the point of repayment and inflation is started to have effect. There will need to be a collapse to reset.

It's all in the 1% 's hands who screwed it up,
they own it all, nothing you or I can do but
keep our powder dry in case it comes to that!
The democratic process was supposed to prevent
this from happening, but that was usurped
by the big boys too.
When the masses have nothing left to lose
you will see what they are capable of !
....But paper ballots would really be less
painful !

I agree with it will depend on how much physical commodities they can get their hands on also how much order remains and if morals stay intact.

When such a thing happens, who can predict, but it would seem that wide scale famine would be one of the most prominent features of a reset, aside from the behavior of people immediately following a monetary collapse.

Since we all have a limited lifetime, you are de facto correct.

How economics plays out, if you can predict that you must be quite wealthy, how has that working out for you?

Are we living on borrowed time?

We are. A smaller and smaller group of people are acquiring a larger and larger share of the wealth. All is going as planned. The majority no longer have much of a chance now that the treasonous Supreme Court and the four conservative judges who are owned by the wealthy like one might own at pet, sided with Citizens United.

The rich can now purchase an election--and it only takes one guy to do it. Here is a recent example:

Las Vegas casino owner and billionaire Sheldon Adelson made certain Mitt Romney would be the Republican nominee against Obama. He did this by funding Newt Gingrich. Adelson alone kept Gingrich in the race. If Gingrich had dropped out--and he would of dropped out without Adelson's money to keep him going--it would of been a neck and neck race between Romney and Santorum. Santorum might have won, as he would of picked up most of Gingrich's supporters. But because of one billionaire...

One guy did this. One billionaire's money made certain Mitt Romney would be representing the Republican party this fall. One guy. Just to be clear here:

One single billionaire influenced a United States Presidential Election.

It is to late. The wealthy few have to much power now and it is unlikely we will be able to do anything about it. Thank the Republican Party for that. Those poor average Joe the Plummers who have supported the GOP all these years have been (and are still being) bamboozled. They were promised if they worked hard and made the right decision, they too could join the club. They were lied to and are still being lied to.

The rich now control the media, they control the government, they control the dough. Soon, they will be controlling you. They will tell you where you can live, what job you will have, what you can learn in school. They will decide what you will think. The children and grandchildren of anyone who has voted Republican will be cursing their names--or will be if they are still capable of analytical thinking after attending the corporate run schools, as a public education will likely no longer be available.

They can do whatever they want but they will never change who I am I'd rather leave the planet than give into them what they don't realize is the majority are more powerful than a few people and if people become uncomfortable they will be in trouble.

The system gives us what we beg for! If you want legal tender with liabilities attached, keep begging for it.

"We're only living on borrowed time - from our fate" - King Diamond.
I don't think he was referring to the economy.

Anyways, I don't owe anyone a cent.

Eventually, when there are too many poor people, and too few people have all the money, all the poor people gang up on the rich, kill them, and take all their stuff.
Then it all starts over again.

This is the history of human civilization in a nutshell.
The rich think they've got the game all figured out.
They think they are rich because they are naturally superior to everyone else.
They think they can keep the stupid majority subservient forever.

But it happens over and over.
Once there are too many poor people, the rich get killed.

God has alotted 2000 years to this New Testament dispensation. It began 33ad in Acts 2 and we are in the closing years of the last generation. World conditions are coming upon this generation just as the prophets said they would in Matt 24, the book of Revelation, Paul's epistles, and elsewhere.

In the big picture, we still have a resource vs. population problem. We are indeed living on borrowed time. Just like the dinosaurs, evolutionary success sometimes sets a species up for it's own fall.

And yes, I realize not all of them are actually dead.
