Notice: Forums will be shutdown by June 2019

To focus on better serving our members, we've decided to shut down the POF forums.

While regular posting is now disabled, you can continue to view all threads until the end of June 2019. Event Hosts can still create and promote events while we work on a new and improved event creation service for you.

Thank you!

Right person wrong time?Page 1 of 1
Very much so, the first woman imet online on love at lycos (thats was a fun site). Similar to OP she wasnt ready for a relationship and still held a candle for her ex.

Has taught me to be very observant when it comes to rebounds. This sucks balls, but there has been a few meets that have made me say to myself 'damn wish the timing was better'.

And thats the bottom line really its a timing thing, if they are wanting something different than you you have to let them go, if the timing is wrong then you also have to let them go. Even if we dont want to it is the only solution. Waiting for someone just doesnt work either as the probability is they are looking for something different by the time it is right for them.

Its just the way the crumble cookies. :)

Wow Donald-duck thats tough fella, and would haunt anyone i think. All i can say to encourage you is that you made the right choice for yourself at the time. She made the choice to get on that motorbike, you have no blame for or influence on her choices.

Given the average ages of posters on the forums, i would have thought most or all of us have encountered this scenario at least once in our lives, bad timing, and bad luck hey :O)
