|Wait, Do I|
Wait, Do I
The zephyr buffets, cold draws down,
My feet, stalkers of the path
Falter, twisting with remorse;
No even ground discovered.
Cape pulled tight around my girth
Torn with rain and age;
Weathered by forgotten storms,
Warp and weft have not endured.
Blooms withered, long since gone,
Once they’d made my bed
When lovers called upon my time
Denied me, not one, my ruby lips.
Tis no end to endless day;
Hours linger o’re worn hands;
Nor tis there peace in timeless nights;
Where dream-mares gallop unmercifully.
Grey sky births another day
As darkness lifts betwixt endless hours;
Wait, do I; there’s sweet revenge!
From lovers: Pain and Sorrow.

|Coincidence? or Divine Design? |
"dream-mares" . . . I like that . . . about 20 years ago I wrote a poem in my high school French class called Nightmares and Dreamscapes. It was cool but eerily painful, like your poem. Years down the road Stephen King published a book with a similar title . . . weird hunh?
However, about ten years ago, I told my ex that we were "perfect in our imperfections", he told me that I was listening to C-Lo, I had no idea who that was at the time, later I found out that he was a rap artist with a song that had that exact same title perfect in imperfections.
There is nothing new under the sun. Other coincidences are the interchangeability of famous political and presidential deaths.
