Now Taking Applications for the End of the WorldPage 1 of 2    (1, 2)
Okay, December 21,2012 is here and all is well. At least I am assuming so, I haven't heard of any disasters, YET!

What will be the next Apocalyptic Prophecy? What are "THEY" going to come up with now to to keep people building their underground bunkers and massive food supplies?

LOL!!!!

That's one hell of a question Worbug.
I'd be interested on seeing what the next scheduled disaster is.

I am so glad that I don't partake in "The News".
It's all bad, and leaves me with a sad heart.

I'm so disappointed ... Iran is still on the map, as is NoKo, China, and Soviet Russia ... how come the Mayans couldn't at least get one of 'em to be gone ... ? 'End Of Days' my ass ... wait 'til the credit card bill shows up for that party ...

Unfortunately, Mankind must now create its own 'new and different' modern-day scare stories since all the good ones from antiquity have been used up. Let's see ... There's always 'Revelations' - that'll hold us for at least another thousand years ... remember all that scary stuff about the 'Book of the Seven Seals' ... ? I think that was sold at the Sea World checkout counter ... OOOH! That '12th Imam' thing - yeah, that's the ticket! Just wait 'til them Iranians get all crazy 'n shit and start sending nukes toward Israel 'cuz that'll make the 'Mahdi' come out of that little hidey-hole he crawled into 'way back in Century Nr Seven ... yeahyeahyeah ... Other than those ones, everything on the Great Apocalyptic Disappointment Tour is pretty much used up. It's so hard comin' up with really good new scary stuff - today's writers just don't have that 'End-Times Imagination' anymore ...

Actually this was one of the reasons I have been looking forward to this one for so long. Over 10 years.

So many of the end of world ideas turned toward this date. It's been a very consolidating event for the end times. What's next... "Time to grow up."

Superstition, fear, projection, and foretelling of the future is pretty much been focused around this and although there will be a few stragglers their really is no big date predictions left for the end.

Well if you don't count the sun going out. It's been fun.

This may not be "apocalyptic", but it could be the end. the good news is that most of us will most likely already have died, but the bad news is our children or grandchildren may suffer.

Yes, and technically because of the rapid pace thing are occurring it kind of makes the doomsday predictions correct with the difference being that it isn't determined through crystal balls and visions and will not occur on a single day but will just be an ongoing progression.

If we are lucky this should also put the doomsday environmentalists and fear industry about not using lightbulbs saving the planet to bed also. They are just as much doom profiteers as any survivalist industry.

Fear sells about as well as sex.

2030 - here ya go -----

"Our global footprint now exceeds the world’s capacity to regenerate by about 30 per cent. If our demands on the planet continue at the same rate, by the mid-2030s we will need the equivalent of two planets to maintain our lifestyles. And this year’s report captures, for the first time, the impact of our consumption on the Earth’s water resources and our vulnerability to water scarcity in many areas"

A likely possibility (one that happens every few hundred years) is a mega solar flare which would be expected to knock out all electrical grids; which would be disastrous in this day and age; whereas it might have little little impact during the times when we did not function with electricity. But would be a very big deal now!

I have some ideas and i love to support them with logic because it just makes it all the better. However, I just would rather say that I've always heard about people getting older and start thinking that this and that are going to happen and they get consumed by the notion of the end of the world. Well, I'm just glad that I was able to be that person who goes crazy thinking its the end of the world at the age of 26 instead of wayy later in life. Now i get to be that crazy person for a long long time muahahhahaha =D

The guy who dreamed up the James Holmes conspiracy averages about two conspiracies every 48 hours. I think that he should be working on the next big end of the world conspiracy right now.

There were 2000 years from Adam to Abraham, 2000 years from Abraham to Jesus, and this current dispensation of the church age, which began in 33 ad, is to last for 2000 years. All of the prophesies of the last days of the church age are now happening and getting more and more intense even as the scriptures said they would. Among many other prophesies, Jesus said the generation that sees Jews begin to return to their land (1948) will not pass away until all of the prophecies of the last days of the church dispensation be fulfilled.

Well it seems there's a new one..

Malachy's prophecies. Basically he predicted the last 112 popes and the next one will be the last before God Judges us all... or something to that effect.

It's a bunch of reading, but the gist of it is the end is nigh.

I really don't sweat the natural disasters to include near-Earth incoming objects like meteors.

And I really don't worry about the growing world population combined with the dwindling numbers of honey bees since 1950. (If the honey bees die, we're next.) There will be some magic number theoretically at which the world's population outstrips the food resources. But I don't sweat that date even though it's within my lifetime.

Do you really think the world leaders will allow us to get to that "magic number" in the first place? They've been actively doing things to 1) prevent population growth and 2) deal with it when we reach that number.

I'm using the quote mechanism here as an indented margin:

Google: Global 2000 Report (1980); Global Future, Time to Act (1981); Endgame: Office of Detention and Removal Strategic Plan, 2003 - 2012 Detention and Removal Strategy for a Secure Homeland (2003); Gunderson Steel Fabrication Portland Oregon train cars with shackles contract; Why Are Modern Guillotines on Military Bases in America?; guillotine-tech.com/operator-training.html; The Georgia Guidestones; Investigating FEMA mass graves in Houston, Texas youtube; FEMA death camp youtube; FEMA plastic coffins youtube; DHS Preparing for Disaster: Buying Bullets, Food Supplies, Activating Detention Camps; Swine flu pandemic level; Vaccine Generics: Harm Principle Justifies Vaccinations

And to be honest, I'm not even worried about my own government trying to fake us out with a bogus swine flu pandemic threat, quarantining us into districts, loading us onto those train cars with shackles, moving us to the FEMA camps, feeding us the emergency food, processing us in a warehouse that contains guillotines, putting us into plastic coffins and dumping us in the huge mass-burial gravesite in Houston, Texas, for example. Why am I not worried? Because I have a gun and I have bullets and as a veteran, I'm trained on how to use them.

I consider myself more stoic than paranoid. This drawn-out process has been going on since about 1965 or so it would seem.

Population chart:

Population growth chart:

Note the downturn in growth and the timing of that decline.
