These are the ONLY acceptable HTML Codes allowed in forum postings

Bolding use the same brackets and slash as above, but use the letter "b", instead of the word "quote"

Italics use the same brackets and slash as above, but use the letter "i", instead of the word "quote"

Underline use the same brackets and slash as above, but use the letter "u", instead of the word "quote". if the [ and ] brackets don't work, go into post edit and try the < > brackets instead as the underline has proved to be flakey for some unknown reason.

You can also stack the codes to produce more than one effect such as THIS.

This looks like a good place to try out Cowboy's suggestion on how to fix an edited quote.

Takes 3 seconds for you to fix this. add a bold and unbold using the " " as the first thing in the message when you edit it and it will hold all your quotes and other tags intact

If your post begins with a quote, that will accomplish the same thing as the empty bold tags.

For some reason I don't need to do anything to get them to work, but have you tried starting your post with empty tags as mentioned above (like you're going to bold something but actually not putting any text between the tag pairs)? - then try the angle bracket method of underlining.

Note: Some people have found varrying success with the underline function - should it not work first time - go back to your post in edit mode and replace the brackets again with the angle brackets < >

The way I got the underline to work was to edit the thread and use the pointy brackets the square brackets didn't do anything.




An Underlined Christmas Joke:

Did you hear about the bald guy that got a comb for Christmas?

Get it.....? It's supposed to be underlined

Yay it worked!!

I used the square brackets ...the empty tag pair... at the beginning then when I went to edit, the square brackets I did had automatically changed to the pointy brackets.
