Notice: Forums will be shutdown by June 2019

To focus on better serving our members, we've decided to shut down the POF forums.

While regular posting is now disabled, you can continue to view all threads until the end of June 2019. Event Hosts can still create and promote events while we work on a new and improved event creation service for you.

Thank you!

Plentyoffish dating forums are a place to meet singles and get dating advice or share dating experiences etc. Hopefully you will all have fun meeting singles and try out this online dating thing... Remember that we are the largest free online dating service, so you will never have to pay a dime to meet your soulmate.

If you've just recently gotten out of a longer term relationship (6yrs qualifies) - consider taking a (1) year break to get to know yourself - just be you, and THEN maybe you'll feel different about dating.

Okay....the first thing most women do when they get an e-mail is that they look at the profile first. Imagine how happy they'll be when they see you in a mini-Peter Pan costume (better get rid of it).
IF they don't delete your e-mail, then they'll read it. One or two typos they'll understand, but when it looks like you typed the e-mail with your toes, they won't take you seriously. You really (really!) should use spellcheck or they'll just dismiss you as a 7th grad drop-out.

Try profile review and you'll get great advice.
