You need a pic that clearly shows your face. The side profile pic is the best of the lot. The profile is fine....I would delete the 'filthy sense of humour' bit....a little too much before you've even met.

I have certainly seen worse, but it isn't abounding with personality either, by and large that is what would get mail in your inbox, personality.

Good humor though, liked that aspect.

Do not ask the ladies to message you directly, it has the opposite of desired effect.

I need to figure out whether it's my profile, or message content

Since you have not shown an example of your messaging style.
I will stick to your profile review.

Three little things could be added
that would make your profile better.

1. You wrote no "Headline" ?
It looks a little funny without one.
(That would be funny strange, not ha-ha.)
Clearly, you can write well, just do it.

2. Two more "Interests" would make those
three columns appear more balanced
and welcoming. Add two "girl friendly" interests?

Candle light dinner. VS
Pork n Beans, straight from a can.

Which do the pretty women
you message, think they would like more?

The interests are where you select your "bait."
Choose the remaining interests wisely.

3. "Prefer not to say" I would prefer
if you would not write, "prefer not to say"
on your introductory dating profile.

Because, you are inviting people to, guess why?

I bet, it's because you had that "problem" before you enlisted
in the Navy, and had to get out of town, QUICK! Am I right?

Do you want children? --- Prefer Not To Say

Go ahead and say.
It's gotta be better
than what she's thinking.
(The absolute worst possible scenario!)
Good luck!

I understood your job description. I did not assume you were in the Navy, but perhaps clear that up a bit. Keep the job title as it is.

I thought your profile was humorous, well written and you have many interests outside of work; a well rounded person.

I actually quite enjoyed the profile. Nicely done.

My only concern is that if you are contacting women your own age, they are likely beyond the 'nothing serious/player' stage and are actually looking for a relationship meaning they'll pass you by. If, ultimately, you are not, don't change it, but just be aware how it may be coming across.

^^^^^^^^---Calls you a "player" for {wants to date/nothing serious}
---Calls me the equivalent of a whore on my profile review for saying the same thing.
Ain't that something!

You may actually want to re-read what I said instead of getting all psycho about it, jaja.

Jamie - glad to see you don't want to appear as man-whore. ;)

I get the feeling you're a big fan of your main photo, but I'm not. You need a fresh headshot, in color, with a smile and looking at the camera. And no, no fish, no chips and no beach on the first date. Beer and a hockey game, at a loud Irish pub! (Tonight was a good game... Tampa Bay beat Detroit 3:1)
