Sorry Lady bugg....I gotta disagree....Predators...all the way....didn't spend nearly as much as other teams did with the salary cap and they aquired alot of good players. Preds are slated to be in the playoffs this year, and I second that opinion.... Of course nothing against you Ms. Bugg

now see you all got it all wrong....the predators are gonna raise the eyes of the spectacle people that have no faith in this team...I still hold my prediction of the Preds goin all the way....and not just sayin that cuz of me being a Preds fan or even because I live in the good ol' state of Tennessee. Good luck to all of your teams

Eric Lindros is an accident waiting to happen!

No doubt. He is a concussion waiting to happen.

What the hell was Toronto thinking?

of course it does...!...poor thing...it's going to die of heat exhaustion if we don't get 'em outta there soon...!...although...i do have to admit that i would much rather see the Cup there...down south of the border...basking in the florida sun...than in the hands of our arch ememies...just south of me...

No one was a bigger Lightning fan than me in 2004 for that very same reason. Death to the Shames!

@char

stop with this gap thing. broduer is the best goalie in the nhl. you can put monkeys out on defense and still get a shut-out. the devils always have a shot to win when #30 is in the net.

Really entertaining game in Edmonton tonight! I don't think I've seen a crappy Oilers/Canucks game in years....always fast, furious offence.

Anyone watch the Stars/Coyotes game on TSN? Hmmm...Phoenix played a pretty good game but all they needed was to make one mistake and Dallas buried it. Damn I hate those Stars!

lady i totally agree with your OP! i love that hockey's back and couldnt boycott it even if i wanted to (which i dont)

i think the game is better with the new rules and im lookin forward to when players are more used to it and commit less penalties

well a couple i dont like - the goalie trapezooid thing and how anyone on the ice gets delay of game for putting over the glass in their own end - just stupid

my team? well, this might be a bad day to say this lol but my team is the kings.

even though i think the games better overall now, man, that kings-oilers game was crappy! the worst ive seen so far this year

yup, he is a pretty good guy for a flames fan. Probably because he's not actually from the city of calgary where mad cow's disease is as much a fact of life as harsh winters are.

oilers sure didn't rise to the top last hockey season....hell they couldn't even rise high enough to make the playoffs...guess they defied all laws of gravity that year lol

You know when those flames burn all season long it leads to a lot of atmospheric pollution, hence the abundance of choking come April.

Oilers fan first, canucks second. I was born and raised in Edmonton.

...but I see where you're going with this;)

who beat the canucks in the first round, and wont talk about the poor oilers lol

Yup, it was a freak year alright! No Big Bert to toss around Iginla and crew; the Oil bowed out like the flames usually do. Go figure...must have been one of those weird planetary alignments.

the only good thing was when the Leafs lost in the second round to the Flyers.
Yes, I have to agree on that one!!!

Canucks fans realize this
you have a problem called " Cloutier-itis" a diesease that cant get to the second round

I think MOST Canuck fans would agree with you about Clouts. There are many days when he lets pucks through him that I wonder if he's actually composed entirely of gas.

its like Oilers fan they have a problem called " whats aplayoff'itis"

Must have been an airborne virus that spread northward from down south...you know, that city that never makes the playoffs until last year.

^ i don't think so! they won't be able to clutch and grab and all those wonderful things they did to get to the finals...no piggybacking either.

The Canucks have to do something about Cloutier though. Seriously bring someone from the minors.. anything would be better. It isn't just under pressure.. it is all the time
I think that a scarecrow could do a similar job...at least until we find a suitable replacement and in the meantime we could have more cap room to get another player.
