So, where do single people go in Everett? Have lived here for a while, but still no real signs of life.

Same goes for Monroe! It's like if you are not into the bars, you have no where to go unless it's Seattle!

If you figure out, let us know. I live pretty close to Everett so it might be nice to go out and try to meet people.

But I guess a lot of people get hit on at work, so like if you're single just keep you eyes open during work. ;) If that ain't working for you... then maybe it's time to switch jobs.

There is a new service, Bellingham Singles, starting up in Bellingham. The idea behind the service is just what you all mention - no place to go if you don't do the bars and are older than 30. You can check out the site, it's a dot com, and send a message through the contact page. Since it's just starting now would be a good time to "chime in" about what you want, how you want it and what should be offered to nothing.

Yes, ALady, Everett is pretty dead, especially if you don't drink like me. When the weather permits I head to the mountains. There are some awesome places to see like the Woodlawn Park Zoo in Seattle; on the peninsula a animal preserve; beaches in Edmonds and Everett to walk; if you gamble, there's casinos everywhere; ice skating rink in Lynnwood; growing up in Everett as kid always found stuff to do,,,can't really sling mud pies anymore,,,lol. Any ideas anyone? Patti

Personally, I like Jimmy Z's for music, Alligator Soul for food, and the Silver Lake Pub for friendly neighborhood company.

Everett and Surrounding areas actually have quite a few places to go, where people can be depends on what you like to do, these places all serve alcohol, but that doesn't mean if you are a non drinker, you cannot go just for the fun :o)

1) McCabe's is on Hewett, it has country and hip hop, dancing, music (2 floors)
**Monday is hip hop night
**Tuesday~ "2 step night" (free dance lessons, country style on main floor
**Thursday I believe is "Ladies night"
**Friday and Saturday are usually very busy on BOTH floors (there is a cover chg)

2) Foxy's is on Evergreen Way and is mostly hip hop, Karaoke, etc (Young crowd)
**open all week I think, but weekends are usually busiest

3) Anthony's Woodfire Grill is on the waterfront (marine View drive, N evt) if you like a classier atmosphere and nice ambiance.

4) Turner's Tavern is on the corner of Broadway and Hewett. Packed before and after the silvertips hockey games.

5) TULALIP Casino in Marysville (exit 200) is always FUN! Only 5-10 minutes from everett and has a wonderful lounge.
**Sundays is "Asian Night" (if you are anything BUT asian, you may be the only non asian in there though lol)
**Tuesdays is Blues night
**Wednesday is comedy night then around 9:30 is "Rockaraoke" which is singing karaoke to a live band
**Thursdays is "Ladies night" and the Aphrodisiacs band plays there weekly, they are disco and pop.
**Fridays and Saturdays have live bands (GREAT seattle circuit bands) and never a cover chg

“Personally, I like Jimmy Z's for music, Alligator Soul for food, and the Silver Lake Pub for friendly neighborhood company.”
Used to go to Jimmy Z’s way back when. Stopped in there a couple of years ago and was hit by the smell of filthy bathrooms the second I stepped through the front door. Grossed me out so I never went back. Don’t know about the other places.
Have been to McCabes, but if you can’t do the country dancing you get to just sit there for the most part. Might look and see at Foxy’s, used to be down by the mall didn’t it?
“Petosa's on Broadway, Everett ~~Live Band”
Yeah, but beware, last time I tried to go there I was told, “Your ass aint wide enough, you don’t belong here.” Haven’t been back there either LOL VERY impressive list though. Will use it for future reference, thanks.

I kinda congregated over the hill...still no action, lol.
Seriously, there are all kinds of things to do if one wants to find it, create it or ?
It's usually more fun to share things with someone.
There are still times when I prefer not to share myself and would rather enjoy my own company.
I think these forums on POF are the greatest and I feel very fortunate they are here.
Can't believe in three days it will be the Fourth of July! Time flys when yer havin' fun

There is a Vertical World climbing gym there, and if you take their 1-hour climbing class, you get a month for free (or almost free), complete with gear.

Good evening Alady,

There are many things to do besides go to bars. I've seen some responses to your question and they seem to be all about the night. You can if you choose google seattle entertainment or even everett entertainment and you will find several things to do. There is the train that takes you to snoqualmie falls for a short hike and walk through the winery. There is the underground tour in seattle...daytime...there are several comedy shows you can attend, pike place market downtown seattle and i know this was one concern of someone about going to seattle. You can always go for hikes...there are several places to hike in the everett area. You just have to be creative with your mind and what you might like to do....Yes i know the weather isn't always good, but there are indoor activities. Try TRAXX on mukilteo spdyway....lots of fun if you like racing go carts....nice walk down to mukilteo beach or edmonds waterfronts. Good luck.

Alligator Soul has live music I believe on Thursday and Saturday. Get there early though, it gets pretty packed. I love their food and it's cool to take kids if that's what you want to do. They do have a bar area, if you like that. Took my (nearly) 3 year old grandbaby and she dug the Alligator and the Music.

Otherwise, I spend most of my weekends hopping on the Ferry to the Silverdale side. I have family and friends there and enjoy it.

Hey I was wondering if anyone has been to Club Broadway since they brought in the Casino feature?

I've been avoiding it because I despise the whole concept of a casino but I do remember going to "CB" in the mid-1990's to dance in some of their theme culture dance rooms.... Rock, R &B, 80's Retro, Country, etc.... .

I was told that Casbahs, the dive bar further East on Everett Ave., had closed its doors and moved its business into Club Broadway.

So my question is.... Has Club Broadway gone south (now sucks) and turned into a skanky gambling place or is it a hip place to go to dance or do something else cool?

Not trying to advocate against using this site, but you might want to try There are a few groups from there that are sponsoring some dating events on POF under the events section.

Chances are you might have a little success in that realm. They also have groups promote mutual interests as well, such as outdoor life (hiking, mountain-climbing, etc...).

As for actually knowing what to do there, I'm possibly more lost than you, as I haven't moved up that way yet. As such, I will be filing these responses down for future reference.

Hope that helps.
