What makes youPage 1 of 2    (1, 2)
My father used to tell a cute story about how at age two, I hid a small knife that he was using to cut tile. He told me to give it back, and when I refused, he gave me a smack on my butt. He said that a single tear rolled down my check, and I said "Didn't hurt"). He said that that was the moment he knew that he would never had to worry about me taking care of myself.

If we have the right attitude and good self esteem, we don't tip toe around any one. People automatically know that they can't make us tip toe.

Now if someone is in need to help, I will be extremely gentle with them.

I have been working with rescue animals for years. Some thing hold with them. If an animal give me attitude, I give it right back, and they stop. Animals read me well (as it such be in the animal world).

I would not however, go up against a crazied human anymore than I would go up against a crazied animal.

Never tipped toed around anyone before I met my ex. Being he worked shifts, and we had small kids, I was always walking on egg shells as to not wake him. I would tell the kids to stay quiet, I would make sure that I only did quiet things. My ex needed major sleep 13 hrs to be exact or he'd be really owly. The last 5 years of our marriage I decided that I wasn't going to clam up anymore, and that my kids had every right to be kids, so I did my own thing and the kids enjoyed themselves. Not only did I look after my own kids, I also took kids in - the tip toeing stopped!

Glad I don't have to tip-toe anymore - being 'the queen of the castle' and also happy that pu$$yfooting is out of the window - being over 40

Me tippy toe......................

I just haven't got a clue how to do it, as some may have notices in some of my posts.

The closest I can come to tippy toeing, is not entering situations which might make lead me to tell someone point blank how I can't stand something, and just won't be around for it.

What makes you tippy toe around people?

I've been told I'm about as subtle as a bulldozer and have the voice of a drill sergeant. After living the first 16 yrs of my life in fear of an abusive father, there's not much left out there to be scared of. I've been in Hell, its highly over-rated and doesn't take American Express. Though I will admit that I might tiptoe around a spider before I run very fast to get away from it. I really hate spiders.
