I dated a Scotsman for two years and half the time I could not understand what he was saying but loved the sound of it.

I have a very strong Texas accent and come across as the proverbial dumb blonde southern belle. Men tell me my accent is sooo cute and cute is not me in any shape form or fashion.

I love accents from New York, Wisconsin, and The British accent also.
I'm not sure why the N.Y., or Wisconsin, but the Brit accent is obvious. lol

I know I know I'm Canadian and there really isn't that much difference between the way we speak but I just love the subtle differences in the way some american men speak.
ya'll (oh look I'm turning into a texan right now!) can have your exotic sounding accents and give me an American guy any day!

I once worked with an aussie woman, she had a beautiful accent.
But I still get a kick out of maritime accents on the ladies.

Canadian accents!!!

What are you talking about?? WE don't have an accent!!!!

I love French...just so sexy and romantic.

I can't understand a British accent at all. I can't watch British comedy because by the time I have figured out what they said they're onto the third joke down the line!!!

First off...I have to say we Canadians DEFINATELY do NOT have an accent. We speak properly, which can be proven easily. When you turn on your TV...the ones with no accent sound just like us...lol

But my Favourite has to be Irish..followed by scottish, british...then any old accent will do....lol

Zed is the "proper" not Zee...just think of the proper way of saying zedebra zedylaphone..further proof "we" have no accent...and as above in my post..I'm listening to the TV and the guy sounds EXACTLY like me

But again...an Irish lass....mmmmm

I recently had the incredible good fortune of having a Scot speak Gaelic to me.

I tell you....ONE word to indicate he wished it and the man could have had me. YUM.

I'm a sucker for Australian accents. Everytime I watch Curtis Stone on "Take Home Chef" I find myself drooling. Not only is he good looking but his accent is so sexy.

Spanish has to be the ultimate accent. Very lyrical and romantic. Next to that a true english accent. (have family from England and love listening to them chatter)

Us Wisconsonies don't have accents, everyone else does!

Back on the subject at hand, a Russian accent has always done it for me.

Maybe a little off topic, but possibly a point of view that hasn't been discussed.

I'm a first generation Canadian. My Mother is from England, My Dad Scotland and my grandmother who talked like she just came to Canada 40 years after she arrived lived with me most of my childhood. I got quite the interesting schooling on becoming what I realize now as being somewhat tri-lingual.

I found it a little odd in my teen years that I took a liking to British humor when all of my friends were lost on the punchlines. It became quite distracting that people would want to hear me say certain things because I could roll "r's" fluently, would use "aye" rather than yes and seemed to put a different emphasis on some words. The accents in my home brought about additional vocabulary and while around family, it didn't seem out of place to use some terms as it was socially acceptable...some terms when used outside the home could raise more than a few eyebrows.

I spent a long time trying to cover up my natural speech and it lead to some stuttering or concistently being lost for words. It hampered my conversations and it was mainly due to being embarrased that I spoke a little differently than most of the people I knew. I'd have to rethink my words to avoid terms that would need explanation. ie telling someone that you'd like the tawties doesn't always go over well...lol

No Fat **stard requests please!!! I do a much better Sean Connery or Patrick Stewart

With that said, a word of caution. While it's flattering to have someone bewitched by one's tongue. It becomes cumbersome and sometimes embarrasing when it's a topic of conversaion for longer than 5 minutes of a date.

I find the southern belle accent very disarming ... it has a sweet sound to it that you can't help but listen to.
