I suspect there will be crickets in this thread chirping before you'll hear a woman admit they're a player.
And even if there are women players, they're out playing and not on the PoF forums :)

Well if there are female "players" as you say, odds are they think along the same lines as men. Personal gratification at the expense of others. The ultimate display of selfish behavior.

Well I have been called a player before...but isn't it different when all people involved know the rules and that I am seeing other people and in turn they are as well? Because I am not out to do it for my own personal gratification but to eventually find someone to be with on a serious level.

LMAO - Men are easier to be played than women, because they least expect women to do that!!!

there is not a guy on here that confesses to being a player, so why should the women confess to it...???
I personally do not believe in players, I believe they are people with issues, hurts, pain and protective wrappings on their hearts....

ASHAMEDLY I am an EX player and what worked best for me was using a combination of sexual stimulation, telling a guy whatever he wanted to hear, and making sure I was viewed by him as being exactly what he craved in his life.
I did it out of boredom because I was never really interested in males. I never did it to actually HURT guys. At that time I didn't even think guys HAD feelings.
Life has taught me in some really strange ways that men do in fact very much have feelings. These things I highly regret doing which is why I'm answering this question. If it helps a guy out there it's all good then.

Artista: that takes guts. I applaud you.
I got played once. She played the sympathy card. She could turn on tears quicker then my kids could flush a toilet. Last I heard she was with her fiancee in Iowa (a new guy noone knows), and both her roommate and boyfriend were evicted when she left after not paying the rent. Of course she collected two months rent before stiffing them. And of course, the only reason I was in the picture was because of the dramatic breakup she supposedly had with the boyfriend that later got evicted (ie: she was still living with him)!
Luckily, I only lost a couple hundred in flowers, dinners, and theme park expenses before I caught on to it. When she started complaining incenssantly about never having enough money to do things like paying for her car tags, etc., I stated getting leary about continuing the relationship.

The only kind of player I have ever been, involved Chess, Backgammon or Scrabble. Well, maybe an occasional game of Risk or Stratego.
I prefer my games over the board.
