A couple of funny things I've noticed about transsexual/transvestites.
Very very few women are 6' 4" and that skinny, with such big feet.
The vast majority of these guys need somebody to tell them how to dress.
Men trying to be women always dress the way a man WOULD THINK a woman should dress.
They always dress in the most outrageous revealing costumes, or they have absolutely no taste or sense of style and coordination at all.

If that excites you why not take it one step further and check out the people that were born with both genitals?...the defined category or name they fall into is just on the tip of my tongue...hmmmm...
The current label of individuals who are born with both male/female genitalia is "intersexed" formerly hermaphrodites. Sadly, the standard of practice when a child is born with both genitals is to assign a female sex since it's much easier to construct a vagina than to build a penis. Sadly, the clitoris is surgically reduced has robbed these children of having a normal sex life, excluding the damage that occurs when the gender that they have been assigned is incongruent with there genetic make-up.
Western medicine still considers this a medical emergency and it is the only circumstance that is categorized in this fashion that is not life threatening. It is much better to allow the child to determine what they primary gender assignment will be when they are capable of making their own decision. The emotional and physical damage that has been done to these children and continues today, is unconscionable!

Transexuals and transvestites are two entirely different groups . Their only commonality is they both wear women's clothing. Which they also share with men who cross dress.
Transexuals are in the process of gender reassignment. Transvestites dress as women in order to become sexually aroused and may or may not be homosexual. 95% of cross dressers are straight males and they dress in feminine clothing for relaxation and stress release.
Women are also transvestites and cross dressers as well. They are hidden in plain sight since their attire is readily accepted by society in contrast to males wearing female clothing.
The comments are related to height, body type, foot size, or their thinking of how a woman should dress have no basis in fact. Neither are this singular observations generalizable to the population at-large. They do not always dress in revealing constumes and often dress according to the societal stereotypical norms. Cross dresser especially dress toward this stereotypical norm and tend to dress more feminine than women. Never in a pantsuit and always in a dress or skirt.

first off the term "shemale" is a porn industry term and technically has no relation to transexuals or transvestites.as for myself i am a tranvestite [male to female] and as a transvestite we are more than a crossdresser as we go the full "transformation"to the other sex when we dress.as for being feminine looking just look at the pictures or a trans or t-girl or even if you run across one in the flesh and look.as for myself i have been mistaken as female even by women.

Krystall has the best legs. For that, I am jealous of transvestites. Plus they have no cellulite and could put most women to shame walking in heels. I love the whole over the top persona they display.
I've been to transexual beauty pageants and some of the girls are stunning.

O.K., to clarify things here. A crossdresser is someone who wears the clothes of the opposite sex; they may or may not have any sexual enjoyment while 'dressed up', but it doesn't preclude such an event. I am such a person; I don't masturbate when dressed up, and haven't ever had sex while dressed as a female (other than during being sexually abused as a kid, and at that age to me it wasn't a sexual episode). If I met a woman who did want to have sex with me while I was dressed as a woman, I would be willing to try it with her, but it isn't something that I feel any need to do. Now, differing from that is a transvestite, who by definition is someone who wears clothes of the opposite sex for the purpose of sexual enjoyment by it; they get aroused just by putting on clothing of the opposite sex. They usually masturbate or have sex of some sort, and once done often have no need for the dress-up clothing anymore (though some prefer to remain dressed up, while others discard the 'outfit' that turned them on as soon as their sexual enjoyment is over). Someone who is transgendered identifies with the opposite physical sex, but may or may not want to appear as such, and may or may not have homosexual sexual desires and/or activity. They just feel that their 'brain sex' and their physical body do not match. Some transgendered people do wish to be the opposite physical gender, and try to dress and behave that way; if they do not pursue sexual reassignment surgery, they are referred to as pre-op, or non-op transsexuals, depending on who you ask. Those who want to have their bodies match their gender identity and proceed to sexual reassignment surgery are referred to as pre-op transexuals before the sexual reassignment operation, and post-op transexuals after it. Most prefer to blend in with society and live their lives as their chosen physical sex. Some transsexuals are strictly heterosexual; that is, when they are pre-operative physical males, they have sexual relations with women, and once post op and they feel that they are truly 'female', they prefer sexual relations with males. Others may maintain their sexual preference both before and after surgery; i.e., heterosexual before (preferring male female mating), but homosexual afterward (preferring to have sex with those who they have become 'like'). She-males are those who go to a great deal of effort to appear female in every way, but want to retain their male genitals. They are often found in the pornography world where, if they are passable and attractive, they can earn a living. However, there are some out there in the real world, just passing as female. I would refer to them as non-op transsexuals. And like every other category of human, some of them are incredibly attractive, and some are not. The media only focuses on the beautiful people in the world, except when they want to make fun of us (see: daytime tabloid shows, like Jerry Springer).

I see that many POF members are making fun of this thread, and I am surprised by their comments. I guess they dont understand that you are just asking a question, or they are very dumb found on this subject. Anyway, I live in miami, florida, which is the #1 city in the world for getting any such surgeries. As a matter of fact, I have had few clients who been through such process, and let me tell you something interesting. All these people who are making fun of your thread would never know if one of their male or female friend was born with opposite sex body. I mean they wouldn't know if they went out on date with one such person who had gender reassignment surgery, usually known as GRS. The surgery is incredible. There was a documentary on discovery recently where they had man turn into a woman, and woman turn into a man.

Err... absolute rubbish! Most Transvestites would be pretty damn offended by this statement! Transvestites and Crossdressers are basically the same! The word transvestite itself MEANS Crossdresser.
In what dictionary or reference? I'll be glad to recant my statement if you can provide new information, I'm always willing to learn. But I've spent the better part of three decades reading about people like us, and so far, the definitions by professional mental health documents have all been the same, that there are clear distinctions between the two terms. And I would suppose that you could be 'mostly crossdresser' and still get sexual thrills on the rare occasion, it's better to define ourselves as well as possible. I never dress up and get a sexual feeling from it. Sure, while dressed I will read, or watch a woman and get turned on, but it has nothing to do with the clothes I am wearing. By definition, though, transvestism DOES inspire sexual excitement. Me, I got my definitions from the DSM-IV. Whether people are offended by what they read is up to them. You can call a rose a watermelon, but that won't make it one. I'm not bashing you; feel free to call yourself whatever you want, but don't be surprised when you confuse people by using your own definitions that conflict with those that are standardized.

O.K., I had to search down a very old email to find this. The best way to explain the difference: A crossdresser may feel sexually aroused while wearing female clothes, but the clothes aren't what make him feel that way; the sexual trigger is not the clothes, he can wear the clothes and feel no sexual arousal at all. A transvestite is someone who feels sexually aroused BECAUSE he is wearing female clothes, the clothing acts as a fetish for him (or her as the case may be). But as with everything else, there can be a blurring of the two. They aren't always mutually exclusive. But often, they are. There's nothing inherently wrong with either person; any more than, say, a guy who gets turned on by his girlfriend wearing sexy red bras and panties more than if she wore white ones.

I agree. I've always had a fantastic time, great conversations, and wonderful people and personalities. If you're ever in the Louisville, KY area, I highly recommend "Connections". They have an award winning show of female impersonators and the performers are stunning.
They also have different areas within the club for dancing and a variety of musical genres for each.

Some of them look beautiful, yes, as much if not more so than any true females of the species.
Others simply look like dudes with bigger tits.
Obviously, preferred are the more feminine-looking ones. Makeup and lypo can go a long way.

If I answer this question....is someone going to get the wrong idea of me/
Op, I watched a special one night about this....had to admit some were down right pretty,....but I can't say the bodies were....sorry, but not enough ass, skinny legs, and the proverbial adams apple, just doesn't do it for me.
But, there's a lot to be said for Make-up and long hair how it can make someone look better....
No offence ladies....but you can take a moderately attractive woman and make her really attractive with the right make up and hair....
even Elvis wore eyeliner.....lol.
Maybe if we men wore make up, longer hair and outlawed this for women....it would be a much different world...
Shit, I'm going to carch a lot of flack for posting this shit.
