body hairPage 1 of 7    (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)
Just so, once in a while, you can understand what we have to put ourselves through for you!

Men are SUPPOSED to have body hair? I didn't realize there was some body hair scale that measured manliness. I'm sorry, but it takes more than body hair to make someone a man. I'll take a guy who is hairless and treats me with respect any day.

BTW....there are some people out there who maybe, just maybe, might find the term "fag" offensive. You might want to watch your wording there...just a suggestion...

I don't mind if a guy has hair naturally or he doesn't...though I don't want him to shave it off if he does have it...I like to run my hands through the hair on his head, chest, legs...but if he doesn't naturally have a hairy chest, there's nothing wrong with running one's hands over that either ;) Now, a little trim in some areas isn't a bad idea, as if I want to floss, I have a pack of dental floss in my purse all the time, lol.

Women are expected to shave all their body hair, so why shouldn't men?

If a girl asked me to completly shave my body Id be "check please"

Sorry but people are social creatures. We live in a society. Societies have norms. Norms, in the case of gender, tend to reinforce natural differences between men and women. Men are stronger, the societal norm is that men be stronger etc. This leads into body hair as well. Since men naturally have more hair, society expects that men... well... have more hair.

Is this good or bad? I think its neither. Its not something nessesarily to rebel against, nor adhere to as if it was set in stone. Its alot easier to go along with society and not be a "freak", so wisdom would have it that guys not shaving and girls shaving would be the best choice for each respective gender. But hey, do what you like, a dolphin man isnt going to harm me, nor a sasquatch woman. Just dont force me to do either, I'll make up my own mind thanks.

I love hairy men, and their body hair can be very sensitive and fun to explore.
By the same token, I may shave my armpits and legs, but I do that for me, not you. The buck stops there, buddy. If someone is so fruited out over a few secondary hairs, they are welcome to move on.
Be yourself.

Exactly! It's more important to me *who* he is, not if he has hair or not...if he happens to have a hairy chest, then it's fun to play with - and yes, even back hair! And if his chest isn't hairy, it can still be fun to play with...the only thing is that *he* has to be the right one I want to play with ;)

Msg 48 - compare the size of your face with the amount of skin to be shaved on legs, underarms, and elsewhere on a woman...there's no comparison. Also, nothing is stopping a guy from waxing his beard rather than shaving it. Not to mention that some women, like me, don't use nair or waxing; we do the razor thing - every day. And you obviously haven't inpected women much, as some can grow leg hair thicker and coarser than a guy's...As for a guy, he's *supposed* to have hair on his chest, back, stomach, and sometimes butt...geez, if I wanted a totally smooth body I'd go for women! And no, I'm not into women.

So if we use the argument that men are "supposed" to have hair on their face, back, legs and the like. How is that argument different when it comes to women? If we werent "supposed" to have hair on our legs, underarms or genitals, then it wouldnt grow there. If a guy is "hairy" and I kick him to the curb because of it, I would have to them make the assumption that I am not truly attracted to that person and hair is probably not the only potential deal breaker in the long run, most likely just a convenient excuse. I will say to these people that say that they are gagging or choking up a hair ball, please! Try not to be so overdramatic! If that is all it takes in a relationship to make you run, you may want to examine your priorities of what is really important. You know like when she has stretch marks from pregnancy and nursing, or when he has a scar from some type of surgery or accident, what then?
And to all of you that say having pubic hair is dirty and gross....Wow! Just Wow!

The hairier the better.

And yes, some women have more hair than men, thicker hair, etc. It's part of a medical condition.

lol body hair...
i dont know if i am ressurrecting this thread or not.. but here goes..

we live in modern times where grooming is necessary...
to say shaving/waxing is gross or w/e is well.. kinda old fashioned to say the least.
metrosexual is a very very broad term...

i am surprised to see that there are some women out there that like body hair.. weird..

Nothing wrong with a little body hair, in my opinion - I like a man who wears it well, within reason of course. :P I also like the clean-shaven men. A hairy, or clean-shaven man, does not a good man make. :P

It does take a bit of an effort when you get into the body shaving I can tell ya. We're talking about some difficult angles, and delicate areas here! :P But, for a guy who appreciates it, I don't mind. One guy returned the favor, as a fun change, and a show of support, and that was great! :P

Not all of us hate it man, don't worry. Good grooming can be important, and preferences are just that - preferences! Don't worry, keep on fishin'. :)

The question was asked well what if it were hair on a lady rather than a man,bet you wouldn't like it then.Hmmmm,All my first years of dating all woman I was with or saw in a "magazine",were alot more natural ,and in "private areas" it was great, then it hit the 80's and somewhere in the 80's almost all the ladies shaved it all off or most off,men thought it a fad,but nooooo............I miss the old days,"oh,but its cleaner now",thats a myth, its just that 100% gone is so pediphile ,yuk, yuk, yuk or sometimes ugly, but I still would find a way to enjoy it,I'm not shallow as many here are,the "say one thing wrong,or do one thing wrong, and your gone" people. Some guys really enjoy natural,I don't want chubaka, and it depends there is hairy and then theres "hairy" and soft hair is preferred, and please understand I like really ladies all cleaned up too. When asked it about me,I want to know what my lady likes, thats who I am trying to please,I attempt to please them if I can as long as I'm not embarrassed in public, please, please,no Mike Brady perms,I draw the line, lol, relationships are give and take, you get the sweet with the sour, never ,never, never be with one that won't bend any for you,one cannot love everything about a person, thats just not realistic or natural

Everyone has their own tastes. It's not an "all woman" thing. For every woman that I have meet that will just not touch a man with body hair, I have met one that would never touch a hairless man. I do guess you do say this because you have had bad luck in pursuing ladies that just dont like body hair. This is no reason to go calling men that shave "metrosexual fag dolphins". It would be as silly as calling all hairy men "neardental ape rugs".

In the end, you cant please everyone all the time. I'd suggest you just try to please yourself. I shave my body, not for anyone. I do it for myself. I feel fresher when I shave, and I find it easier to keep my body clean while shaved. Not to mention women don't go coughing hairs when I'm shaved, nor do I kiss them to have my own hair passed on to me... eewwwk....

Ironic is that i read some ladies say that they like men without hair in their privates but hair in their legs, arms and chest. I find that looks very strange and out of balance, I would, if anything, trim my privates and shave everything else.

Anyways, if you don't want to shave, don't. There are women out there that love very hairy men. My mother is one... unfortunately, I suffer the consequences... :P

one of my older brothers worked in a steel factory for 14 years. the heat in there is such that they had to wear long johns all year round. long johns every day for 14 years! my sisters are all jealous of how silky smooth his legs are because of that.

I want a man to be a man....

I want hair on the head, face, chest, legs, underarms, and other places where it belongs. I don't want to feel like I'm with a little boy...and I certainly don't want to feel stubble. It's bad enough I have to shave....

Although a hairy back...UMMMM - NO!

why do women want a guy that shaves all his body hair??

Do they really ask for it? No way! ... and for my palms to find his hairy chest I would be in my element!

P.S.
And that includes his hairy legs too!

I'm dyin, funny thread! Actually, being Italian, I find that soft fine body hair on a woman a turn-on. Shave what you want, I don't mind trimming but I'm not pre-adolescent so I'll keep my hair, ThankYouVeryMuch... Better yet, give me your trimmer and I'll do it for you...

"And yes, some women have more hair than men, thicker hair, etc. It's part of a medical condition"

NO IT IS NOT.

I am part Catawba Indian - it is normal for Catawbas to have significant body hair. Same for a lot of women who have dark hair, Italian, etc.

For some women, YES IT IS. PCOS/Stein-Leventhal Syndrome is the name of the disease, and many women on this site suffer from it, from minor symptoms to all the symptoms.

First off women are not expected to shave all their hair off.. you women started doing it and set the standard for you and other women to live up to.. men never demanded at the end of a gun for you women to do it... suck it up.

Most men from france don't mind hairy armpits or legs on women.

It's based on culture.

You know what makes me laugh.. is when I had the misfortune of watching that crappy reality show "Survivor" you know how I KNEW it was fake?

All the women had shaved armpits and legs.

FAAAAAAAKE!

Men that get waxed make my inner caveman smash and kill sabre-kittens.

Please.. men.. think of the sabre-kittens!
