Its annoying when someone sends a message just saying "hey" or "hello there". If they are short with me i am short with them

I got "hey" yesterday.

So I say "hey" back

Then I got "hows it going?"

So I say "Going good"

Then nothing so I say " Quite the conversationalist arent you?"

And she says "so are you"

^^^ We like the truth here. Share....

On topic:
Generally short messages = short responses, and are just really uninspiring if we're talking first contact. I can understand it more with instant messaging on occasions, if you've chatted about something and then are kind of closing off, but not in an email.

oh yes i hear you......!! but the one that gets me - after me going blah blah blah blah in answer to a question, is their response of - OK. What is that....... give him sometimes more substantial than that.

Time for the eject button after that one...............

I'll be honest ... I'm a b1tch
If I don't get 25 words or more in a message, I don't respond at all. There's my 29 words on the topic!

Monotonically monosyllabic mails mean moderately missing mentality.

In a similar vain, "dunno wot to rite in this profile, just mail me an ask" are my favourites.

Hey stop changing the thread title you guys

On the mail settings somewhere I remember seeing that you can state how long a message must be before you'll accept it. Can't remember where I saw that now. Might only apply only to first messages tho' rather than responses.

Hilly, you must just have that photogenic kind of face that people want to see you on webcam. I'm sure they mean it in the most innocent of ways.

Not on pof, mine is too short that message is longer than my pof profile

Whoopee, that is too intellectual and specific for me

Conversation gets a bit one sided when their only response is consistantly "ok"....Is it just me talking about myself too much? "yer"...
