Computers and printers and techno stuff?Page 1 of 1
Assuming ur using Windows XP, it probably wont need any drivers, giving details of the OS and the model helps.

Currently using a HP, it has a power lead attached to a power plug and the other end that goes into the printer is like a figure of 8, u cant get them mixed up :)

you can use a parallel cable - big long and wide cable at the end, put one end into the back of the pc and the other into the printer - only fits one way, eg male plug into female plug.
or
USB cable, again the leads only fit one way and is USB 2.0 compatible

Manuals usually on the CD, reader from acrobat, do the tech support for the parents, who have at last gone onto ADSL :>)

might be a software problem. i had a problem with lexmark a few years ago. turned out i had to do a clean install i.e. delete all previous installation attempts and start again. best sticking to Epson printers

u cant delete the actual ports, just the software side, seriously suggest u ask around at local schools or colleges for someone who is into computers, sometimes there are courses for people who not know a lot or read books like "PC's for Dummies", one friend read it and more and now builds his pc's, another friend did not have the time and does little more than use pc for email and msn, despite running a business, all acocunts on on paper :(

msg 14 means that once they are wiped (software) and you reboot, windows will find the right software, but it helps to have the correct cables in the correct ports.

the usb can only go in one way, in fact they all only go in one way...

Msg 13 - have to agree about macs, use a pc for most stuff, like games and generally not have too many problems
