Notice: Forums will be shutdown by June 2019

To focus on better serving our members, we've decided to shut down the POF forums.

While regular posting is now disabled, you can continue to view all threads until the end of June 2019. Event Hosts can still create and promote events while we work on a new and improved event creation service for you.

Thank you!

how often will one look at a lamp? not often, so I'd skip it, especially if it's more of a fire hazard then a regular lamp.

My son loves his lava lamp that we got at StuffMart or Target (don't remember)...it is ment to be used as a nightlight. It is really soothing to him so it works for us. The lightbulbs are a PITA to replace but the correct wattage is imperative for keeping them safe...anyway, NO WAY! They aren't too girly!

I really dont know what would be girly about one. And as for safety, I thought most things had to meet certain safety standards for manufacturing?
